History
Lingyan Pavilion began as Chen Mo’s personal faction within the Misty Cloud Sect. Its first members included Nalan Yanran, Yun Hai, Liu Zilong, Liu Xuanyue, and Yun Ya; Chen Mo’s reputation and his status as Gu He’s disciple drove rapid recruitment. Its early expansion was tied to its members’ cultivation, total numbers, and loyalty to the pavilion. 24
The faction soon developed beyond a sect clique. It established branches in the Imperial Capital and Wutan City, then absorbed the administrative functions of the Misty Cloud Sect. Chen Mo created a treasury system that allowed members to exchange contribution points for copied cultivation methods, Dou Techniques, treasures, and pills. 63 74
During its Northwestern campaign, Lingyan Pavilion captured cities, seized enemy treasuries, incorporated armies, and forced or accepted the submission of regional powers. The conquered territories were reorganized into the Lingyan Empire, with the former Chu Yun Empire serving as the imperial center and the Jia Ma, Heaven Dou, Windwalker, Sinking Heaven, Falling Goose, and Mulan territories converted into commanderies. 87 93 113
After entering the Central Plains, Lingyan Pavilion’s seizure of the Tianmu Mountain Range and its victories over the Wind Lightning Pavilion elevated it into a force treated cautiously by major sects. Its subsequent expansion extended from the Dou Qi Continent to the Tianluo Continent and ultimately the Great Thousand World. 178 193 563 659
