After the Origins of more than ten Cosmic Worlds had fully merged into the Great Desolation World, its barriers stood firm as mountains under a steady downpour. The edges of its five continents continued to spread, and Innate Spiritual Qi grew denser by the day. Since its ascension, the Great Desolation World had ceased to give birth to Innate Deities. Its Origin was vast, but like a vessel filled to the brim, its surface remained still while its depths could no longer nurture new innate life. The races that multiplied across the land of the Primordial Wilderness were all Houtian Living Beings, born of acquired qi after the age of the Innate Deities. The conditions for an Innate Deity's birth were exceedingly strict: the Primordial Origin had to condense naturally in its most primordial, chaotic state. When Pangu first opened the heavens, before heaven and earth had separated or the pure and turbid had been distinguished, Origin Qi had gathered in the void, taken shape, and been born. After the Primordial Wilderness ascended, the laws of heaven and earth became more complete, the pure and turbid were divided, and innate and acquired qi each followed its own course. The path by which Innate Deities were nurtured had closed completely, like an ancient city wall reinforced layer upon layer.
Yet the influx of Origins from more than ten Cosmic Worlds steadily replenished the foundations of the Primordial Wilderness. Those Origins entered its network of laws at an even pace, like a host of lamps burning together, gradually bringing its Origin toward a new limit. The five continents kept expanding as the worlds merged. The edges of the Eastern, Southern, Western, Northern, and Central Continents spread farther outward like curtains being drawn back, while the network of laws retained its complete structure
