Background / History

Pangu opened heaven and earth, then supported them for countless Epochs. With his strength and foundation exhausted, he absorbed a peculiar soul into his Primordial Spirit and told it, “I hope you can accomplish what I could not.” He then fell and transformed into the things of the Great Desolation. His divided Primordial Spirit became the Three Pure Ones, with the absorbed soul joining the part that became Taiqing; twelve drops of his blood became the Twelve Ancestral Witches 1.

Pangu's head formed Kunlun Mountain and his spine formed Buzhou Mountain. His descendants later found fifteen pieces of Pangu Marrow within a formation prepared for them. Taiqing refined one piece to strengthen his body, then brought the others to his siblings 1 13 14 33.

Appearance

Pangu first appears as a giant whose head touches the sky and whose feet stand on the ground. Summoned forms retain his colossal, sky-supporting likeness 1 140 579.

Personality

Pangu's manifested will is stern with his descendants but responds to their pleas. When the fifteen siblings call upon him, he is initially angry with Taiqing, then helps them and gives each a Top-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure suited to their accompanying law 93 94.

• Pangu split chaos to create the Primordial World; an axe stroke killed numerous Chaos Demon Gods. His opening of heaven and long support of the world exhausted him 1 10.
• His Physical Body and Dao of Strength are described as defining strengths. Buzhou Mountain, formed from his spine, retains an oppressive aura that even powerful cultivators struggle to withstand 5 10.

Lingering Will and Legacy

• Pangu's will manifests at Buzhou Mountain to guide Taiqing on the Law Path to Sainthood. Its appearance shakes the Primordial World and alarms the Heavenly Dao and reincarnated Chaos Demon Gods 9 10.
• His memorial tablet clears the Heavenly Dao's influence from Xuanqing 349.
• Pangu Hall isolates those within it from the Heavenly Dao's restrictions, allowing their cultivation bottlenecks to loosen 33.

Summoned Pangu True Body

• The Twelve Ancestral Witches can fuse into a Pangu True Body; later, the Three Pure Ones join them in summoning it. Its actions draw on the descendants' power rather than establishing that Pangu himself has returned to life 140 579 748.
• It reforms the Pangu Axe from the Taiji Diagram, Pangu Banner, and Chaos Bell, and uses it against the Heavenly Dao 579.
• It heals a rift in the Earth Immortal Realm's heavens and stabilizes the world, ending an Immeasurable Tribulation. Summoning it can leave the fifteen descendants nearly exhausted 748.
