Background / History

Tang San first encounters Ye Han’s group in the Star Dou Great Forest while both parties pursue a Phoenix-Tailed Crested Serpent. He proves decisive in the resulting standoff and later negotiates with Ye Han, offering the Purple Demon Eyes cultivation method in exchange for assistance and information concerning Xiao Wu. 30 31 32

After Xiao Wu is taken by the Titan Giant Ape, Tang San seeks Ye Han’s help to find her. During the search, he absorbs a two-thousand-year-old Man-Faced Demon Spider Soul Ring and reunites with Xiao Wu before returning to Shrek Academy with Zhao Wuji’s group. 32 33

Tang San fights Ye Han’s team in the Advanced Soul Master Competition. He counters Noble Phantasms with hidden weapons, Shadowy Evasion, and a spider leg, but Ye Han’s Detonate Soul Skill destroys his right hand. Kurumi subsequently reverses the injury and regenerates it with Zafkiel: Dalet. 41
