Background

Ye Han is a transmigrator who arrived in the Douluo Continent and lived in Gemstone Village. Before his System activated, he worked in the village mine to earn money and consistently trained his body, becoming unusually strong for his age. He viewed the Martial Soul Awakening as his opportunity to change his life 1.

At his awakening, Ye Han gained Innate Full Soul Power and the Golden Key Martial Soul. Though the villagers considered it a Waste Martial Soul, the System revealed that it granted access to the Gate of Babylon and its Noble Phantasms. He was offered entry into Spirit Hall, while the System simultaneously presented competing faction choices 1.

Rather than joining an existing power, Ye Han built a group around his Second Dimension Summoning System. His first summon was Todo Aoi; he later summoned Yoruichi Shihouin, Artoria Pendragon, Esdeath, Kurumi Tokisaki, and Honjou Kaede. The summoned characters retained their original personalities and could not betray him, though they could still disagree with him 3 4.

He is also blunt and mischievous, frequently teasing friends and opponents alike. His confidence can become theatrical arrogance when using King's Order, an effect he attributes to bearing the role of Uruk's king 172 173.

Despite claiming not to be a good person, Ye Han protects those under his care. He helped Xue Xi after learning she was targeted by the Heaven Dou Empress, reassured Gu Ruo after Evil City's destruction, and brought Gemstone Village residents to Anle City as both protection and repayment 145 148 155.

Ye Han can be ruthless toward threats. He ordered the cleansing of Evil City, killed those deemed connected to Evil Soul Masters, and erased the city from the map with Di Tian's power 145.
