Inter-school Exchange Event.
As the name implied, it was an exchange event between Japan's only two Jujutsu High schools.
It was held once a year and lasted two days.
Since a Jujutsu Sorcerer's profession involved fighting Cursed Spirits and Curse Users, the event's theme was combat as well.
The first day was a team battle, where participants formed teams by school to exorcise Cursed Spirits, competing to see who could exorcise more, faster.
The second day was the Individual Match—the most common kind of flag-capturing match.
The format was very simple, with nothing difficult to understand. The only question was—
"Wasn't there always a severe shortage of Jujutsu Sorcerers? Was it really okay to pull so many people away at once?"
Before Yuta Okkotsu had entered Jujutsu High, no one would have dared ask that. Rika was part of the reason, and so was the atmosphere of a Japanese school.
Fortunately, Jujutsu High had no such concerns. Everyone was used to speaking their minds. If they didn't, Maki Zenin would roast them until they did.
Akesato's remark before enrolling—"Everyone here is talented, and they speak so nicely"—had not been merely a joke.
"That is an excellent question. Scientific research has shown that human emotions change with the seasons, and the activity level of curses is closely tied to fluctuations in human emotion. In other words, Jujutsu Sorcerer work has both off-seasons and peak seasons."

Spring brought the revival of all things, and humans likewise experienced a certain degree of discomfort due to the change in environment.
Physically, this manifested as colds, frequent epidemics, and autonomic nervous system disorders.
Mentally, the depression accumulated during winter's cold and oppressive months was released as the temperature rose.
And then there was Japan's unique "May Sickness."
