Pepper and Happy, who had returned earlier, had been waiting here for quite some time. When they saw Chen Mo and Tony finally return, they hurried forward to meet them.
Pepper quickly found the Iron Man suit Tony usually wore among the many suits. When she noticed the Mark XLII's outer armor was severely damaged, her expression changed. She rushed over anxiously, gently touching the damaged plating as she asked worriedly, "Tony, are you okay?"
But the Mark XLII merely lowered its head and gave her a strange look without saying anything.
Pepper grew even more worried. Could he have taken a severe blow to the head and lost his memory?
Just as Pepper was fretting, Tony Stark's familiar voice suddenly sounded behind her.
"Hey! Honey, I'm over here!"
Pepper quickly turned around and saw a massive suit of armor over two and a half meters tall rapidly opening up. Tony Stark awkwardly climbed out of the suit, rubbing the area between his legs as he walked toward her with an odd gait.
Pepper had initially looked delighted to see Tony, but his crude, indecent gesture made her frown. When Tony reached her and opened his arms to hug her, she swiftly stepped aside.
Tony Stark hugged empty air and stood there awkwardly with his arms raised. Then he turned to Pepper with an aggrieved look and said unhappily, "Hey, Pepper, is this how you treat the hero who risked his life to save you?"
Pepper crossed her arms over her chest and looked at Tony irritably. "If I remember correctly, Dad was the one who saved me. You seemed to be tied up by Killian at the time!"
Tony immediately said, "I was acting, distracting them for you! The moment you got away, I quickly gained the upper hand!"
