"That's right, Jane. The ones celebrating over there are Asgardian warriors, all a bunch of rough men. I need to quietly remind some of them to keep a low profile. The two of you would draw far too much attention if you went with me."
Jane Foster naturally understood the importance of the matter. She had not particularly insisted on going; she had merely been puzzled as to why Thor would not let her come.
After hearing Thor's explanation, Jane Foster immediately nodded.
"Mm, you should go by yourself. But what are the two of us supposed to do?"
Security within the Golden Palace was extremely tight. Both of them were outsiders, and they had avoided being questioned only because they had been with Thor. If they were on their own, the guards might very well arrest them outright!
Thor immediately said, "Come with me. I'll take you to my chambers first. Wait for me there."
Thor then led Chen Mo and Jane Foster to his chambers before leaving for the celebration being held outside the Golden Palace.
Thor's chambers resembled an ancient Roman palace. Though they lacked the grandeur and magnificence of Odin's royal hall, with its towering stone columns, they were still far more imposing than many palaces on Earth.
Moreover, compared to the solemn royal hall, this place had more of a lived-in atmosphere. There were not many lavish decorations, yet the overall impression was one of elegance.
Jane Foster could not help looking around the chambers, clearly very interested in where Thor lived.
Chen Mo was accustomed to living in palaces and castles, so he was not particularly interested in the architecture. Leaving Jane Foster in the chambers, he went alone up the steps along one side of the room and onto the platform outside.
