Mako Mori's feeling back then was exactly what Chen Mo was experiencing now!
From the accelerating fall to the thunderous docking, amid the clanging of the mechanical coupling mechanisms locking together, Chen Mo felt as though he had fused with the Jaeger. The previous descent was like a soul returning to its body after leaving it. Right now, he was the soul of this Jaeger!
The once-cold Jaeger seemed to come alive, forming a faint connection and sense of harmony with him.
However, Chen Mo knew that this was mostly psychological. The process had given him a sense of identification with and control over the Jaeger.
It was much like the so-called unity of man and car, or unity of man and sword.
As Gipsy Danger's head completed its self-check and rotated back into position, the female officer behind the console immediately spoke.
"The pilot is in position. Prepare to initiate the neural connection."
Seeing that all the information on the holographic display indicated everything was ready, General Quan turned to look at Mako Mori.
Though Mako Mori was somewhat worried, she still nodded.
General Quan immediately gave the order.
"Begin connection!"
The female officer operated the controls as she replied.
"Initiating!"
Inside the cockpit, a neural connection prompt appeared on the holographic display before Chen Mo, while an electronic voice sounded in his ear.
"Neural connection will begin shortly. Five, four, three..."
As the countdown proceeded, Chen Mo did not feel nervous. Instead, a faint excitement rose within him.
"...two, one, initiate!"
As the countdown ended, Chen Mo's electromagnetic control clearly sensed a faint yet complex electromagnetic wave suddenly emitting from inside the helmet, attempting to connect with the brainwaves generated by his own brain.
