Gamora heard Star-Lord's words, and a strange look flashed in her eyes.
She had investigated Star-Lord and had a general understanding of his situation.
According to the intelligence she had gathered, Star-Lord came from a Colonisers team, and their Boss should have been Yondu.
But she could be certain that the tall figure who had just left and put immense pressure on her was not Yondu!
Gamora became even more curious about Chen Mo's identity.
Gamora wanted to ask further about Chen Mo's identity, but she was worried about making Star-Lord wary, so she could only hold herself back. Right now, the most important thing for her was still obtaining the Orb!
Looking at Star-Lord's admiring expression, Gamora immediately smiled and said,
"I can tell you're an honorable man."
Seeing that Gamora did not continue asking about Chen Mo, Star-Lord secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He had truly been afraid that Gamora would take a liking to Chen Mo instead of him. Fortunately, what he had feared had not happened.
Hearing Gamora praise him, Star-Lord was delighted, but he put on an unconcerned expression and said,
"I'm not that great. People do say that about me, but I usually don't praise myself like that."
Though Star-Lord claimed not to care, his expression and movements completely exposed the pride in his heart. He even unconsciously tossed the Orb up and down in his hand, fully revealing his delight.
What he did not notice, however, was that the instant he tossed the Orb into the air, Gamora's gaze changed.
She silently stepped closer to Star-Lord. Just as he tossed the Orb into the air again, Gamora suddenly reached out and snatched the spinning Orb from midair. Before Star-Lord could react, she twisted sideways and drove a heavy kick into his stomach.
