Two mechanical claws extended from either side and gripped the Orb, pulling it apart to create a seam on its surface. However, metal components inside still held it firmly together.
The two mechanical claws then rotated back and forth according to a set pattern, like the combination dials of a safe. Two beams of purple light shot out from the Orb and were absorbed by devices behind the claws. Then, more than a dozen circular light screens were projected above the console.
Clearly, the Orb not only sealed away the Power Stone but also stored a great deal of secret information.
Tivan knew much about the Orb as well. As he watched image after image projected around them, matching them one by one with the information he already knew, he grew incredibly excited. He even forgot his earlier fear and eagerly explained to everyone.
"Before the universe was created, there were six singularities. Then the Big Bang created all things, and the remnants of those six singularities were gathered and condensed into gems known as the Infinity Stones!"
As they listened to Tivan's explanation and watched the six differently colored gems form after the Big Bang in the projection, everyone wore different expressions.
Gamora had heard the legends of the Infinity Stones from Thanos, and she herself knew the whereabouts of one. But she had never expected an Infinity Stone to be hidden inside the Orb!
Rocket Raccoon stared up at the projected images in shock. He had never even heard of the Infinity Stones before, and he had not known such things existed in the universe.
Star-Lord, on the other hand, remained calm. Chen Mo had told him all of this long ago.
