Holding the warhammer embedded with the Power Stone, Ronan was filled with boundless ambition. He felt as though the entire universe would bow beneath his feet. Xandar, Thanos—all of them would be destroyed beneath his warhammer!
Looking at the terrified Xandarians around him and the Guardians of the Galaxy he had knocked to the ground, Ronan grew even more exhilarated. He raised his warhammer and shouted.
"Look! Look at these Guardians of the Galaxy! What have you protected?"
"Now, I will finally get my wish and avenge my father and grandfather!"
"People of Xandar, abandon your pathetic faith. The time to welcome me has come! You are about to receive salvation!"
Just as Ronan passionately delivered his victor's speech, he suddenly noticed Star-Lord ahead of him humming a song and dancing by himself.
"What are you doing?"
Ronan asked with a baffled look.
"A dance-off, man. Just the two of us!"
As Star-Lord spoke, he kept awkwardly dancing. Gamora looked at him as though he were a complete idiot, unable to understand why he had suddenly lost his mind and started dancing at such a critical moment.
"What the hell are you doing?"
Feeling insulted, Ronan roared angrily.
Out of the corner of his eye, Star-Lord saw that Rocket Raccoon and Drax were ready. He immediately stopped performing and looked at Ronan with disdain.
"Distracting you, idiot!"
Ronan immediately realized something was wrong. He then saw the Hadron Enforcer hanging from Drax's chest.
"No!"
Unfortunately, he had realized it too late. The moment Star-Lord finished speaking, Rocket Raccoon connected the circuit. The powerful Hadron Enforcer, built from parts dismantled from the Milano, immediately fired. Its blast struck Ronan's warhammer, knocking the Power Stone embedded within it loose.
