There Really Is a "Deadpool"!

"How did the examination go?"

The coroner did not know David. After glancing at the credentials David had proactively shown him, he finally began to explain.

"There were two wounds in total, one in the front of the chest and one in the back."

Two?

David had not noticed earlier. Upon hearing that, he could not help turning his head to look. Just then, two officers flipped the body over and lifted it into a body bag. The wound on the chest was located directly opposite the one in the back, at the thoracic vertebra.

Either wound would have been fatal. No one would be bored enough to stab someone once from the front and once from the back. That meant it was a penetrating wound. Could it have been a long blade?

Just as David frowned in thought, the coroner continued.

"The two wounds are exactly the same size."

"However, judging from the way the flesh around the wound was torn, it does not look like a long blade was stabbed in from the back and pulled out. It looks more like... it entered from the back and came out through the front of the chest."

David's mind could not process it for a moment. Entered from the back and came out through the front? What kind of move was that?

First stab the knife in from behind, then run around to the front and pull it out by the tip?

As he was puzzling over it, the coroner spoke again.

"It was probably a Throwing Knife!"

"A Throwing Knife?"

David looked completely dumbfounded.

A Throwing Knife could be that powerful? Even a handgun could not do that!

"You're saying someone used a Throwing Knife to pierce through his spine and thoracic vertebra in a single strike?"

"Based on
