The Unfortunate Miners!

The next day, Chen Mo and Old Albert returned to the underground base. This time, however, Chen Mo did not take action. Instead, he took a chair and a small tea table out of his storage space, sat down, and leisurely drank the coffee Old Albert had just brewed for him.

Old Albert, Crossbones Brock Rumlow, and Hill once again began their hard labor!

Today, they would begin construction on the second level of the underground base. This time, Chen Mo did not need to step in. The three of them started moving the soil beneath a reserved spot on the ground. Chen Mo did not need to do anything except wave his hand and store the dirt and rocks in his space whenever the piles grew too large.

But they soon ran into a problem.

The castle had been built atop a mountain. The basement and first level of the base had both consisted of a mixture of soil and stone, but as they continued digging deeper, they finally reached the mountain's bedrock today!

These were not the small rocks mixed into the soil from before, but part of the mountain itself. Crossbones Brock Rumlow and Hill could not move them with telekinesis at all. Although Old Albert's ability to control rock could continue the excavation, it consumed far too much mental energy.

Still, none of the three were ordinary people, and they quickly came up with a solution. Crossbones Brock Rumlow stood at the reserved opening, raised both hands toward the massive exposed rock below, and unleashed his Shockwave ability!

Two visible ripples of air appeared out of nowhere and shot swiftly into the opening, striking the enormous rock below.
