Claire then spotted a stand not far off to one side of the group. She immediately walked over and took down a tablet hanging from it, sleek and futuristic in appearance, with a metal frame and transparent screen.
After checking the tablet, Claire's voice turned angry.
"They're using survivors for experiments!"
On the tablet, Claire saw photos and profiles of many survivors. They all wore identical white outfits, and their files contained nothing but physical data!
Everyone could not help but become furious at this.
They had captured the survivors to use them as lab rats for experiments!
Claire kept flipping through the survivor profiles and soon saw a familiar face.
"K. Matt! She's here!"
Claire said excitedly. She had finally found the companions who had been taken away!
K. Matt was the teammate from their original group whom she knew best!
"Bring them all up!"
Alice said as she walked over to Claire's side.
Claire immediately operated the tablet. Soon, sections of the previously smooth floor split apart, and the octagonal area in the middle slowly rose amid a burst of cold vapor. Beneath it stood rows of cylindrical glass chambers, each containing a survivor dressed in white!
All the survivors stood motionless in the glass chambers with their eyes tightly shut, like specimens sealed inside test tubes!
A ruby-like Mechanical Spider had been attached to every one of their chests, while several wires connected their heads and wrists to devices at the tops of the glass chambers.
Following the identification numbers, Claire quickly found K. Matt among the many chambers and rushed impatiently toward her.
"She's here!"
Claire said excitedly as she looked at K. Matt standing inside the glass chamber with her eyes closed.
Alice and K. Matt were old friends as well, and she was equally
