"We've got a way!"

Nara suddenly said in delight, "They aren't flying. They're jumping and using techniques to stay airborne."

That meant neither of them could actually fly. They could merely remain in the air for extended periods and use the residual force from their clash to prolong their suspension.

It was just that they could stay airborne for so long, and leap so high, that it might take several minutes for them to drift back down.

For most people, the difference between that and flight was negligible.

But as long as they could not fly, they would eventually have to come down. Once they did, they would enter the mobile unit's attack range.

Nara surveyed the surroundings, estimated where they would land, then searched for suitable firing positions.

Such positions were not easy to find. Though the enemy could not fly, they still controlled the air and could observe from above, so they needed concealed locations rather than highly exposed places like rooftops.

Yet concealment itself obstructed their line of sight and firing angles, instantly eliminating more than half the available buildings.

Still, Nara quickly found several suitable buildings. Pointing to one of them, he ordered, "Deploy the heavy weapon there. Wait for the order to attack."

The fat Akimichi said nothing. He simply walked beneath the designated building, found a suitable spot, unfolded the weapon strapped to his back, and aimed it at the battle in the air.
