Every Dao Lineage was an immensely vast theoretical system, filled with all manner of doctrines. The Buddhist school, in particular, had an especially great number of teachings within it.

This was mainly because of the monastic system established by the World Honored One Tathagata from the very beginning.

The Buddhist school had no leader.

Unlike the Shaman Path, which had an obvious Shaman God; the Human Path, which had a Human Emperor; and the deities, who had a Heavenly Emperor, the Buddhist school possessed no rigid hierarchy. Every organization within it was more like an academic forum.

At the outset, the Buddhist school had no specific mechanism of leadership, nor did it have rules or shackles of any kind. Everyone could freely express their views beneath the World Honored One Tathagata, within that broad framework, and exchange ideas through debate—or persuade others.

This was known as "Scripture Debate."

Before the Great Tripiṭaka and Great Tripitaka were compiled, these Scripture Debates had no original records. Once the debate ended, they were discarded. The World Honored One supported everyone using their own differing interpretations to expound upon and explain the scriptures, developing them according to their different understandings.

Thus, the Buddhist school gave rise to so many sects.

Among these sects were the Buddha's own reflections and the writings of others; there were antiquated things, and there were universal philosophies.

This was because the World Honored One Tathagata was highly tolerant. It was also a manifestation of "compassion," and at the same time, a pursuit of "wisdom."

From beginning to end, the Buddhist school spoke of "wisdom" and "awakening."

All of it was for the World Honored One Tathagata's great vow: "Awakening the World."

To awaken every living being in the world.

Buddha meant "the awakened
