Background
Shen Shuibi is an inherently immortal Moon Essence, born from the Taiyin power of the Sun Moon True Lead Cauldron. Together with Yang Ning, she resulted from the intersection of Lady Luofu's Dao with that of the cauldron, making the two Dao-born sisters. Shen Shuibi spent more than nine thousand years cultivating under Lady Luofu's protection, largely isolated from worldly affairs and devoted to research. 240 241 511
When Mount Luofu was attacked by the Human Emperor, Yang Ning covered Shen Shuibi's escape by throwing her away from their pursuers. Separated from Lady Luofu and the other survivors, Shen Shuibi later destroyed her cultivation foundation to purge foreign qi and protect Lady Luofu. 35 163 240
Young Master Zhu captured Shen Shuibi and compelled her to act as his messenger, placing a mark upon her soul. Afterward, Li Qi persuaded her to travel with him in search of Lady Luofu; their journey became the beginning of her lasting partnership with him. 27 28 35 40
Appearance
In human form, Shen Shuibi is a petite, delicate woman of exceptional beauty. Her calm, cool appearance contrasts sharply with the pressure and spiritual radiance she displays after recovering her body and cultivation. 40 64 275
- Soft skin, a petite build, and a naturally immaculate appearance. 40
- Remains clean without bathing, sweating, or accumulating dust. 40
- Usually dresses conservatively and keeps her hair neatly pinned when outside. 924

- Her true form is a sleek-furred Moon Essence Jade Rabbit, an innate spirit beast representing a portion of Great Yin. 93

Personality
Shen Shuibi is introverted, gentle, and severely socially anxious. She prefers solitude, dislikes crowds, and often avoids speaking for herself by standing behind Li Qi or allowing him to make decisions. 169 244 702 Her apparent absent-mindedness comes from her tendency to become wholly absorbed in thought; she can contemplate a problem for years at a time. 240
Despite this, she is neither foolish nor unintelligent. Shen Shuibi possesses an enormous store of knowledge, becomes incisive when she focuses on practical matters, and can rapidly identify opportunities, flaws, and solutions that others overlook. 57 65 209 Her Dao heart is steady: she is slow to act in ordinary matters, but once she has chosen a course, she follows it without hesitation. 511 604
She is peaceful by nature and dislikes needless killing, but she does not hesitate to kill when it is necessary to protect Mount Luofu, Li Qi, or her allies. 253 604
