Kiana opened the Imaginary Channel again. The moment she saw what was inside, her expression froze. When Elysia and the others looked as well, they were left speechless. The place was covered in Quantum creatures, packed so densely that anyone with trypophobia would probably have been physically sick by now.
"This is a rift in the Sea of Quantum, isn't it?" Ai Yi said, stroking her chin. As the Hyperion's artificial intelligence, she naturally knew quite a lot.
The Sea of Quantum contained not only World Bubbles that could collapse at any moment, but also many rifts like this one, inhabited by countless Quantum creatures. An ordinary Valkyrie who entered would be torn to pieces in no time. Only because Mobius was a Fusion Warrior and not particularly weak had she been able to hold out for so long.
Kiana looked embarrassed. She had thought Mobius had been in constant freefall, but apparently, she had been dancing with Quantum creatures. Still, there wouldn't be a next time.
Mobius: You still want there to be a next time?!!
"Mobius, it's good that you're okay. Don't be angry," Elysia said, trying to mediate.
But Elysia clearly hadn't considered that anyone else trying to persuade Mobius might have worked, while Elysia doing it was simply adding fuel to the fire. Remembering how she had previously been changed into a pink maid outfit, Mobius's temper instantly shot through the roof.
"Get lost!"
Mobius let out a furious roar, her face frighteningly dark as flickering green currents wrecked the furniture in the room.
"Enough!"
As the leader of the Thirteen Flame-Chasers, Kevin stopped the others with a headache. An icy aura that warned strangers away radiated from his body.
"Mobius, I've tolerated you enough in the Elysian Realm. We've turned a blind eye to whatever experiments you wanted to conduct. Don't be thinking about dangerous things all the time. I have the power to freeze Memory Bodies, and I don't want anyone to become the victim."
"Why are you yelling, little follower? You've gotten pretty capable now, huh?" Mobius snorted coldly. Kevin was the strongest Flame-Chaser, and even as a Memory Body, he was unquestionably the strongest one. His words naturally carried weight.
"Big Sis Snake, Boss Kevin, don't get angry!" Pardo said with an awkward laugh, trying to smooth things over. Small and helpless as she was, she was undoubtedly the person who least wanted them to start fighting, or the flames of war would spread to her.
As the last dish was brought to the table, Mei sighed in relief. She was a little tired, but Kiana usually ate a lot, so she had experience. She just wondered whether she would be able to keep up once more and more people boarded the Hyperion in the future.
The Flame-Chasers looked over the long table full of dinner and nodded. It was indeed lavish. Vill-V Hundred Flavors had even emerged, wanting to see how it differed from her own cooking.
"Four Joy Meatballs? Mapo tofu, pickled cabbage pork ribs... There are even Divine Land dishes!" As someone from the Divine Land, Hua's eyes lit up at the sight of those familiar dishes.
Since they were Memory Bodies in the Elysian Realm, they normally did not eat much, so these dishes stirred up her nostalgia. Besides the Divine Land cuisine, there were flavors from other places as well. Everyone could find something they liked.
It was finally here!
Holding his rice bowl, Zhang Wei stared at Chrono without drawing attention to himself. This was the moment he would see Chrono's true face. He refused to believe it was that mysterious—was Chrono really going to keep his mask on even while eating? Did he eat with a Simulated Black Hole or something?
Click!
Chrono did not notice the gaze. At the sound of a click, he removed the bottom fifth of his mask, revealing just his mouth, and began eating.
What was I even expecting?
Zhang Wei's face went dark. He had been looking forward to seeing Chrono's true face for nothing. Sure enough, the mask was Chrono's actual body.
"Captain, do you want to see Chrono's face?"
Elysia smiled as she leaned close to Zhang Wei. She had seen that expression of his back then as well. After all, the Chrono beneath the mask was as enticing as Pandora's box.
"You've seen it?"
Zhang Wei's heart stirred. Elysia might have photos of Chrono. He really was curious about what Chrono looked like, though judging from his facial contours and the small portion revealed, he was clearly quite handsome. Chrono definitely did not wear a mask because he was too ugly.
"I haven't. For one reason or another, I always missed the chance to see Chrono's face. Back in Fire Moth, there was even a post offering a reward for a photo of Chrono's true appearance!" Elysia shook her head.
Chrono's true face seemed to be governed by some law of causality. Even she, the Origin Herrscher, could not see it.
But Kevin had fought Chrono before, so he should have seen what Chrono looked like.
"Kevin, have you seen it?"
Elysia looked curiously at Kevin, who was noisily slurping noodles. There were actually noodles at this dinner. I, Kevin the Savior, approve of this dinner.
"No. When I sparred with Chrono back then, I did break his mask, but when he fell to the ground, one of his arms happened to cover his face. I didn't deliberately look at it," Kevin said, shaking his head.
Thinking about it now, it was strange. Why hadn't he paid closer attention? It was as though some irresistible force had prevented him from seeing Chrono's true face.
"Fine, then what Chrono looks like really is a complete mystery!" Elysia lowered her fairy-like head in disappointment and took small bites of her dinner.
Zhang Wei laughed silently. But once Chrono boarded the Hyperion, he would definitely find an opportunity to see for himself.
As the Captain, not even knowing what his crew members looked like would truly be negligence.
This rare dinner was remarkably harmonious among the Flame-Chasers. They enjoyed this kind of time as well. They had fought Honkai their whole lives—couldn't they enjoy themselves for once?
"Ms. Mei, let's find a time to compete in cooking!" After tasting Mei's food, Vill-V Hundred Flavors was immediately filled with fighting spirit and challenged the Cooking Wife.
"No problem!"
Having received a cooking challenge, Mei's eyes filled with fighting spirit as well. Purple currents crackled around one of them, while gears clanged behind the other. Their desire to compete against a worthy rival became an incomparable aura that drew everyone's attention.
"So intense!"
Pardo put on sunglasses. The light erupting from the two of them was far too dazzling, making it seem like they were about to fight. As expected of Big Sis Vill-V.
"Sniff, sniff..."
"Ahhh, fire!"
Pardo suddenly smelled something burning. Turning around, she discovered that her tail was on fire. Instantly panicked, she ran toward the kitchen, trailing smoke behind her. Chrono had been stirred by the fiery atmosphere between the two women and had caught fire as well—yes, actual flames. Pardo's tail had been ignited by them, and the blaze was burning fiercely.
