Lu PingAn transformed the Black Flame, studied a hostile elemental world, and created the Phoenix Ape Descendants as a growing legion. As the Otherworld invasion spread across the seas, he strengthened Ancient City and led the Third Fleet in rescuing survivors from Sakurajima before preparing a mission to retrieve artifacts and hinder the invaders.

Arc 61The Black Fire Expansion

Lu PingAn transformed the Black Flame into an immortal life network, led the Burning Legion across the Octopus World, and helped shape a long-term resistance to the invaders. He then traveled to a blazing world, where he began studying its Elemental Plane and the origins of its elemental life.

  • Lu PingAn urged Black King’s followers to revolt against Eight-Clawed, then used the camp’s divisions and Black Flame avatars to sabotage its supply lines and send the Burning Legion into the New World.
  • After Caso and Si Da Er shattered his body, Lu PingAn completed his transformation into an immortal being whose existence persisted through Black Flame, Life Points, and the Courtyard.
  • Lu PingAn developed Black Flame professions and weapons, while Lu Lu embraced the dangerous new path and the Eastern Kingdom’s campaign advanced ahead of schedule.

Arc 62The Phoenix Ape Project

Lu PingAn used the Martial God Church’s resources to create and develop an adaptable local race, the Phoenix Ape Descendants. As they grew into a powerful, human-shaped people preparing to leave his fields, he joined the broader Xuan Wu Plan and feared they could become a planar Natural Disaster.

  • Lu PingAn negotiated research and logistics contracts with the Martial God Church and Tyrannical Three-Faced Church, receiving a city, staff, and extensive research materials.
  • Lu PingAn studied the plane’s energy-based lifeforms and concluded that he could create a true, evolving race suited to its conditions.

Arc 63Preparing the Coastal Front

As the Phoenix Origin People became Lu PingAn’s growing legion, the invasion of Australia and attacks across the Pacific drew him into coastal defense. He built up Ancient City as a shipbuilding and industrial hub while officials asked him to help transform the city and deter the coming threats.

  • Lu PingAn helped the Phoenix Origin People evolve into the Burning Legion, then created Phoenix Fire and a new group of bodyguards able to travel across planes.
  • After Australia fell and coastal attacks spread, Lu PingAn prepared his legions and accepted command roles in the mobile coastal defense forces.

Arc 64The Third Fleet’s Campaign

Lu PingAn built his Earthly Heaven and used the Courtyard to strengthen allies as the Otherworld invasion spread across the seas. After the Third Fleet rescued survivors in Hengyu City, it prepared to withdraw from occupied Sakurajima while planting obstacles for the invaders and pursuing valuable artifacts.

  • Lu PingAn negotiated with Lady Lin, gained her Wooden Staff, and secured permission for Guan Xinxian to become a subordinate god.
  • Lu PingAn rejected the World’s Will’s choice between submitting to or killing Lady Lin, then created the Earthly Heaven and completed his Tier 8 transformation.
  • Wanjing made Ancient City a directly governed municipality, while researchers and Gardeners established institutes around Lu PingAn’s holy land and he began building Log Battleships.
  • The failed assault on the Aus ruins and attacks on Sakurajima widened the war, as Lu PingAn learned that other countries had rejected Eastern Kingdom’s offer to form a united front.
