Ch. 1808Moving Forward

Lu PingAn reflected on how his Life Circulation path unified life and motion, then traveled through the New World seeking its gods and the source of Tuning Forks. He concluded that the local guardian gods were avoiding him and decided to search for powerful beings in the Capital City.

  • Lu PingAn recognized Life Circulation as his unique higher-order law, allowing him to grant both single-path and composite professions.
  • Lu PingAn and the young man's team journeyed through the New World, collecting samples and local folklore while Lu PingAn questioned people about gods and Tuning Forks.
  • Lu PingAn learned that Tuning Forks came from varied sources, though their holders did not know where the power truly originated.
  • Lu PingAn repeatedly waited for guardian gods to appear at local festivals, but the gods never showed themselves.
  • Lu PingAn sensed that the gods were watching him and feared or avoided him, so he planned to seek out the god-kings in the Capital City.

Ch. 1809Local God

Lu PingAn arrived in Holy Sword City, where his expanding businesses and the faith they inspired made him consider the power of belief and the city’s commercial potential. The Ancient Sword Spirit finally confronted him, mistaking him for a god of slaughter and pleading for the kingdom’s safety.

  • Lu PingAn reached Holy Sword City and found that his followers had already opened a popular shop bearing the PingAn Brand.
  • Lu PingAn sensed that the shop was gathering faith and considered how people could use stories and belief to become immortal or godlike.
  • Lu PingAn explored the capital, continued collecting Tuning Forks, and warned his companions that becoming a god might be a trap.
  • Lu PingAn weighed using commerce to dominate the kingdom’s economy, but the Ancient Sword Spirit approached him first and begged him to spare the country.
  • The Ancient Sword Spirit called Lu PingAn the God of Slaughter and said his body carried the wails of at least a hundred ancient gods.

Ch. 1810Divine Script

Lu PingAn signed a non-aggression pact with the Ancient Sword Spirit and studied the world’s Divine Script, gaining a new profession passive. The Ancient Sword Spirit explained why the gods feared Lu PingAn, who realized their terror came largely from the deaths caused by Wu Yin.

  • The Ancient Sword Spirit mistook Lu PingAn for the God of Slaughter, then lowered his guard after sensing that Lu PingAn was sincere.
  • The Ancient Sword Spirit presented a Divine Script non-aggression pact, and Lu PingAn studied its glyphs and gained Divine Script Mastery.
  • Lu PingAn signed the pact, which prevented either party from proactively attacking the other.
  • The Ancient Sword Spirit explained that the wailing souls of countless dead gods clung to Lu PingAn and frightened the gods.
  • Lu PingAn realized that the souls included Dragon Serpents and New Gods hunted by Wu Yin, and decided to take advantage of the Ancient Sword Spirit’s fear.

Ch. 1811Thousand Layer Cake

Lu PingAn learned that the world was made up of three vast overlapping realms and realized that the peaceful Surface World might not be worth his planned investment. He left seeking dragonkind, whose knowledge and ability to cross planes could help him reach the Underground World, the Land of the Dead.

  • Lu PingAn asked the crowned ruler for intelligence, and the Ancient Sword Spirit explained that the world consisted of the Surface World, the Underground World, and the Heavenly World.
  • The Ancient Sword Spirit described the Surface World as peaceful and bountiful, while Lu PingAn suspected it was only a quiet frontier compared with the other realms.
  • Lu PingAn reconsidered his plans to establish branch stores after learning that the Surface World had relatively few inhabitants and that the other worlds might offer more valuable opportunities.
  • Lu PingAn asked how to travel between the worlds, but the Ancient Sword Spirit's songs left him confused.
  • Lu PingAn asked about dragons, and the Ancient Sword Spirit said dragonkind served as messengers between planes and could cross the limits of time.

Ch. 1812Ignition

Lu PingAn rejected the Queen’s attempt to manipulate him and investigated the hidden powers maintaining peace and ignorance in the Surface World. As he built his businesses and searched for dragons, a war against the outsiders began to unfold.

  • The Queen asked Lu PingAn for permission to conduct business, then tried to persuade him to attack a wealthy neighboring kingdom, so he had a Black Flame knight throw her out.
  • Lu PingAn suspected a higher power was limiting warfare and preserving the Surface World’s primitive society, and he and Miss Lu discussed evidence of deities guiding heroes who disrupted the order.
  • Lu PingAn continued building stores and intelligence networks while searching for dragons, but the dragon-blooded descendants and Wyvern he had met knew little.
  • Other churches and high-ranking Explorers proved less patient, and the war of conquest became a war intended to tear apart the outsiders.

Ch. 1813Escalation

Lu PingAn continued building factories and cooperation with local kingdoms while the Victory Military Banner’s conquests triggered escalating conflict with the Heroic Spirit Knight Orders. After accepting the Tyrannical Three-Faced Church’s request for assistance, he met a thousand-year-old dragon and learned that the surface world was a pasture of life, while the underground Land of Death served as the gods’ chessboard and arena.

  • Lu PingAn learned that the Victory Military Banner had suffered heavy losses fighting a Knight Order and that the story of the conflict had spread as a ballad portraying Explorers as invaders.
  • Lu PingAn’s group continued cooperating with local kingdoms and building factories as tensions between Explorers and local forces grew.
  • Lu PingAn received a letter from the Tyrannical Three-Faced Church asking for assistance and headed to its base to discuss cooperation and restrain the conflict.
  • Lu PingAn met an ancient dragon that treated him with unusual respect, apparently because of the wronged souls of gods around him.
  • Lu PingAn asked the dragon about the world’s common sense and learned that the surface was the pasture of life, while the underground Land of Death was the gods’ chessboard and gladiatorial arena.

Ch. 1814Afterlife World

Lu PingAn watched a dragon’s memories of the Afterlife World, where the dead were reborn as frenzied beasts and could recover their former selves through slaughter. He saw the world’s hunters and warring factions, then considered whether its powerful beings could reveal an evolutionary path suited to him.

  • Lu PingAn learned from the dragon’s memory that the Afterlife World was a vast jungle filled with creatures that attacked and devoured one another without restraint.
  • The dragon explained that the beasts were dead beings resurrected in animal forms, and Lu PingAn watched a Lion Person regain his beastman form, memories, and personality after feeding.
  • Another beastman speared the newly reborn Lion Person and cut off his right ear as a trophy.
  • The dragon’s aerial view revealed hunters seeking entry into castles by collecting ears and armies of beastmen and wild beasts battling across the Wasteland.
  • Lu PingAn recognized True God-level beings fighting above the armies and wondered whether the Afterlife World held an evolutionary path suited to him.

Ch. 1815Three Realms

Lu PingAn learned from the dragons that the Surface World was a peaceful pasture whose dead fought through the Afterlife World before the strongest entered the Heavenly Realm. The dragons urged him to visit hell and become a lord there, but he postponed deciding, leaving them to wait up to twenty years.

  • Lu PingAn and the others realized they had underestimated the Three Realms and agreed to act more cautiously.
  • Lu Mouren explained that the Surface World was likely a pasture and that the dragons had come to guide outsiders away from causing trouble.
  • The dragons described how the dead became beasts, fought in the Afterlife World, and could earn a place in the Heavenly Realm as immortal warriors.
  • Lu PingAn asked to enter the Afterlife World, and the dragons said he could return freely while weaker mortals risked losing themselves.
  • The dragons offered to take Lu PingAn to hell and said they would wait twenty years for his decision, while he declined to commit immediately.

Ch. 1816Irresistible Terms

Lu PingAn learned that the world’s Pantheon and Afterlife World offered powerful systems for developing gods, soldiers, and immortality, and decided to gather intelligence and pursue the opportunity. The Martial God Church sought his support as it prepared to explore the Afterlife World, while Lu PingAn called for cooperation with other churches.

  • A dragon offered to follow Lu PingAn and bring its clan, and he said he would consider it while probing for more information.
  • Lu Mouren assessed the world’s defenses and urged Lu PingAn to study its underlying powers and rules rather than merely copy its systems.
  • After speaking with the Martial God Church’s priests, Lu PingAn learned that they planned to explore the Afterlife World and prioritize summoning Black Knights.
  • The priests said Lu PingAn was likely the world’s strongest wielder of negative life force and expressed interest in its system of evolution and immortality.
  • Lu PingAn said more God's Arks and quasi-gods would be sent, then urged the churches to exchange intelligence and share the opportunity.

Ch. 1817Fake Death

Lu PingAn tested how far he could expand his influence in the three worlds while investigating their cycle and how locals responded to transcendence. After his first Daredevil Team used a potion to enter fake death, none had awakened after seven days, and Lu PingAn prepared to try the route himself.

  • Lu PingAn discussed opening shops, hiring and re-educating locals, and granting them risk-free Professional advancement to test the world's response.
  • Several factions offered Lu PingAn favorable terms, asking him to cooperate with their gods in either the Afterlife and Underground Worlds or the Heavenly World.
  • Lu PingAn learned that believers and soldiers could directly empower the gods they were linked to, a phenomenon he attributed to the World's Logic.
  • Lu PingAn watched local recruits become transcendents but found no obvious irregularities in their abilities or development.
  • The first Daredevil Team members used a potion that induced Fake Death, and after seven days none had awakened.
  • Lu PingAn decided to try entering the Afterlife World through fake death, despite the risk that he might not return.

Ch. 1818Whimsical Ideas

Lu PingAn considered how to send a quasi-god into the Afterlife World after the Fake Death potion failed to bring back earlier Daredevil Teams. He proposed using the Courtyard and the Wishing Well to enter Fake Death and carry its residents across, leaving the group to consider whether the plan could work.

  • Lu PingAn learned that more than ten Long Sleepers had not returned and that the Fake Death potion’s effects had ended for them at different times.
  • Lu PingAn concluded that the missing Daredevil Teams were probably dead, since the potion could not restore souls, and reasoned that the Afterlife World separated souls from bodies and weakened their supernatural power.
  • Lu PingAn’s companions explained that a Tier 9 Fake Death potion would require help from a high-level Potion Master and might still fail to carry him into the Afterlife World.
  • Lu PingAn suggested making a Wish for himself to enter Fake Death, then proposed that the Courtyard enter Fake Death and bring all its residents with it.

Ch. 1819Land of Death

Lu PingAn and his allies entered the world of death by wishing for the death of his main body, the Life Courtyard, then awakening in a new realm. They confirmed the Courtyard had protected its inhabitants and secured a way to escape as they began exploring the land of souls.

  • Lu PingAn and Tyrannical Three-Faced's ritual masters signed a cooperation agreement, and the group prepared to enter the world of death.
  • Lu PingAn wished for the death of his main body, the Life Courtyard, and the Courtyard's lights went out as he died.
  • After ten minutes, the group called out to Lu PingAn, who awakened with part of his body missing and regenerated it.
  • Lu PingAn learned that low-rank Professionals who had gone outside had turned into beasts, while the Courtyard's mortals remained unchanged.
  • Lu PingAn recognized the surrounding forest as the Life Woodland and realized the Courtyard had materialized in a world where souls were matter.
  • Lu PingAn confirmed God's Ark could still take them away and began the expedition to explore the land of souls.

Ch. 1820Hidden Benefit

Lu PingAn investigated how the New World altered creatures and discovered that its predators could evolve into new species, potentially granting the Courtyard’s Orcs stronger bloodlines. The chapter ended with a human Explorer transformed into a gorilla, confirming that entering the world could change humans as well.

  • Lu PingAn’s team sent Wolf Beasts and modified cameras into the New World, where the beasts struggled to survive and the cameras repeatedly broke down.
  • Lu PingAn inspected the Orc Statue and discovered that its transformation pool had suddenly expanded to include over three hundred species.
  • Lu PingAn sent people to investigate and learned that a Wolf Beast evolved into a Two-Headed Dragon after hunting and devouring prey.
  • Lu PingAn realized that creatures might strengthen their bloodlines through evolution and saw the New World as an opportunity for the Courtyard’s Orcs.
  • Big Cat told Lu PingAn that a human who had entered the New World had transformed into a gorilla and was hanging from a tree.

Ch. 1821Gods' Game

Lu PingAn and his companions tested how the world’s transformation curse affected them, finding that Xue En struggled while Lu PingAn and Phil resisted it. Lu PingAn then received an invitation to join the Gods’ Game, whose victory conditions revealed the dangers and constraints of participating.

  • Lu PingAn learned that a Tier 5 fighter had turned into a monkey after spending just over ten minutes outside, and reasoned that Rule-level personnel might have enough time to retreat.
  • Xue En volunteered to explore because his Panda Man bloodline made him a suitable candidate, and Lu PingAn decided to accompany him as a demigod.
  • Lu PingAn, Xue En, and Phil entered the world; Xue En began losing his resistance to the urge to evolve, while Lu PingAn and Phil felt little pressure from the curse.
  • Lu PingAn received an invitation from the World's Will to join Gods' Game, which required players to fulfill two of three victory conditions.
  • Lu PingAn recognized the invitation’s serious obligations and considered whether to accept it.

Ch. 1822Life and Death Conversion

Lu PingAn accepted a Chess Player’s invitation and underwent a transformation that killed his human body and awakened his Death Darkside. The change left him reborn as the New God Lu PingAn, a colossal being of fire, tree, and dragon.

  • Lu PingAn accepted the invitation to become a Chess Player, drawn by the chance to grow stronger and reach godhood.
  • External power struck Lu PingAn’s heart apart, and he experienced genuine death as his life force drained away.
  • Lu PingAn’s Death Darkside opened, creating a pitch-black Wasteland, blood-red Other Shore Flowers, and a river on the Courtyard’s reverse side.
  • Lu PingAn’s Life, Dragon, Treant, and Sun Factors activated as his human body was torn apart.
  • Lu PingAn emerged as a New God, his new body formed from sun-like flames, tree-bark scales, and dragon and serpent heads.

Ch. 1823Kin

Lu PingAn manifested as a New God, gaining a complete divine body and understanding more about how souls and life worked in the Afterlife World. He awakened his God Children, Little Flame and Zhi Xi, and sent their legions to clear nearby obstacles as he prepared to enter the war between gods.

  • Lu PingAn transformed into a three-headed, six-armed New God and realized that his God's Ark had become his kingdom and that he could not risk dying.
  • Lu PingAn learned that souls were waves and that life in the Afterlife World regained wholeness as its spirituality and instincts changed.
  • Lu PingAn split off Little Flame and Zhi Xi as his God Children, and both awakened with complete human forms.
  • Little Flame summoned Phoenix Fire and Fire Elemental Creatures, while Zhi Xi awakened an army of Living Armor.
  • Lu PingAn ordered Little Flame and Zhi Xi to eliminate nearby obstacles, then looked toward a rival god's domain and declared the war begun.

Ch. 1824The Scale Twin

Lu PingAn established his pantheon in the Damon World, assigning Chris to lead publicly as the Mother Goddess of the Scale while he prepared to introduce trade and Life Value. A slacker god named Ke Da Er Si spotted the new arrivals and tried to flee after realizing he had stumbled upon a powerful pantheon.

  • Little Flame refused to lead the mission, so Zhi Xi volunteered to cleanse the world while the flame creatures spread out and helped shape it.
  • Chris became the Mother Goddess of the Scale and public leader of Lu PingAn's pantheon, then Lu PingAn returned to the Courtyard to establish a currency bearing the Scale's mark.
  • Lu PingAn chose to remain blind as the god overseeing trade and fairness, and the Courtyard began circulating Life Value in the new world.
  • Ke Da Er Si waited for a vulnerable New God to appear, hoping to devour one and gain power.
  • Ke Da Er Si saw the three-faced Giant God and the scattered gods of a pantheon, then fled when Lu PingAn and Chris noticed him.

Ch. 1825Initial Battle

Lu PingAn and Chris confronted the calamity god Ke Da Er Si, known as the Great Spiral, and tested their newly transformed bodies in battle. Chris’s overwhelming strength and Lu PingAn’s attacks left Ke Da Er Si beaten, and the chapter ended with Chris asking whether she had killed him.

  • Lu PingAn offered to let Ke Da Er Si join his pantheon, but the negotiation failed as Lu PingAn and Chris prepared to fight.
  • Lu PingAn engulfed Ke Da Er Si in Sacred Fire and dropped black fireballs on him, but the elemental attacks barely affected him.
  • Ke Da Er Si rushed Lu PingAn, but Chris intercepted him and battered him with relentless punches.
  • Lu PingAn rained more black fireballs on Ke Da Er Si while Chris moved clear, then Chris complained that Lu PingAn had used her to test the attack.
  • After Chris struck Ke Da Er Si down again, she asked Lu PingAn if she had beaten him to death, and he confirmed that she had.

Ch. 1826Gods' Gamble

Lu PingAn and Chris killed a godlike enemy on Gods' Chessboard and discovered that the world's rules made gods' bodies and powers vulnerable to direct combat. After absorbing the enemy's weapon authority, Lu PingAn gained combat abilities and weapon techniques, while the pair recognized they had entered a dangerous world without enough preparation.

  • Lu PingAn and Chris defeated the godlike monster quickly, then realized that gods could die directly in this world.
  • The monster disintegrated and left behind absorbable World's Logic, which Lu PingAn identified as the concept of weapons.
  • Lu PingAn and Chris concluded that Gods' Chessboard made divine authorities physical and reduced the gods' immortality, making direct battles far more dangerous.
  • Lu PingAn absorbed the weapon authority, gaining weapons on his divine form and an instinctive mastery of weapon techniques.

Ch. 1827Kind Person

Lu PingAn’s group gained the allegiance of the defeated Weapon God’s followers, giving them the manpower and intelligence they needed to develop their territory. They learned that the world’s conflicts were War Games driven by legions and territorial power, and began their kingdom’s development ahead of schedule.

  • Lu PingAn reviewed his victory and concluded that the Weapon God had died because he hunted alone and his abilities were countered by Lu PingAn and Chris.
  • Lu PingAn’s group struggled to find workers because people outside his domain risked losing their sanity.
  • A large group of outsiders arrived, and Lu PingAn realized they were followers of the god he had defeated.
  • The outsiders cheered and pledged themselves to Lu PingAn, while loyalists who refused to serve their master’s killer had also left.
  • Lu Mouren learned that the dead god was Ke Da Er Si of Six Whisker Seven Tail, a warmonger and skilled hunter and assassin.
  • The new intelligence revealed that wars in the region were War Games in which legions strengthened gods and fought over territory.
