Appearance

Skywater City is an immense ice-blue castle built as a cultivation environment for the Water Family. Its walls are formed from massive blocks of ice, while its floors resemble smooth, crystalline frozen lakes. Morning sunlight refracts through its ice into multicolored light, though the fortress constantly emits bone-chilling cold. 321

History

Water Family Rule

Skywater City served as the residence of the Water Family, one of the foremost powers in the Chaos Territory. Every family member possessed an ice-element martial soul, and the clan constructed the ice fortress to replicate an icy-land cultivation environment. 321

For decades, the Water Family Ancestor governed both the family and the city. He was a Level 81 Soul Douluo, supported by four Soul Sage elders; together, these five experts formed the city’s principal fighting strength. 321

Before Shui Bing'er’s return, the family attempted to secure a political alliance with the Kirin Cave Mansion by forcing her to marry the Kirin Young Master. The arrangement was intended to expand Skywater City’s influence and potentially elevate it to a superpower comparable to the Seven Great Sects. 283 299

Shui Bing’er's Return and Change of Rule

After leaving the Star Dou Great Forest with Fang Xuan, Shui Bing'er returned to Skywater City and openly defied the Water Family’s decision to treat her as a bargaining chip. The Ancestor and elders condemned her for offending the Kirin Cave Mansion, while a Purple-robed Elder attempted to kill both her and Shui Yue'er. 321

Fang Xuan intervened, killed the Purple-robed Elder, defeated the remaining elders, and slew the Water Family Ancestor. He then compelled the surviving elders to submit by planting Fire Kirin poison in them, making their treatment dependent on Shui Bing'er. 322 323

With the elders subdued, Shui Bing'er became both Shui Family leader and City Lord of Skywater City. Fang Xuan used Soul Bones and precious medicine to raise her ten ranks to Soul Emperor, then helped her obtain a sixth Soul Ring. 323 324

Kirin Cave Mansion Siege

The Kirin Cave Mansion attacked Skywater City to avenge the Kirin Young Master, mobilizing more than a thousand Soul Masters under Kirin Douluo. Panic spread through the city, and some residents prepared to flee before the battle began. 324

Skywater City initially conserved its strength under Shui Bing’er’s orders. Fang Xuan’s execution of Zhao Tianxuan, the Kirin Allied Forces’ Soul Sage vanguard, severely damaged the attackers’ morale. 325

Kirin Douluo later ordered a full assault. Allied Soul Masters bombarded the city’s ice walls, and Kirin Douluo personally destroyed the main gate, allowing the invaders to enter. Shui Bing'er led the Shui Family’s elite disciples and two to three hundred city Soul Masters in the defense. 326

Fang Xuan’s victory over Kirin Douluo decided the battle. The surviving forces submitted, and Skywater City achieved victory over the former dominant power of the Chaos Territory. 327

Mysterious Alliance Headquarters

After the battle, Fang Xuan united eighteen factions—including Falling Cloud Cave, Ancient Sword Sect, Purple Haze Sect, and the Mo Clan—into the Mysterious Alliance, centered on Skywater City. The alliance fielded approximately 1,200 Soul Masters and became the Chaos Territory’s leading force. 328

Shui Bing'er served as Vice Leader and managed the alliance’s internal affairs from Skywater City, assisted by Mo Lengyue. The city later became the site of a conspiracy by several faction leaders seeking to rebel while Fang Xuan was absent. 328 329

A century later, the Mysterious Alliance had declined to roughly one to two hundred elderly, weak, or injured Soul Masters, with Skywater City still serving as its headquarters. The Yan Sect threatened the remaining alliance after subduing most other Chaos Territory factions. 462
