Back home, Lu Su began calculating his assets.
Eleven Black Iron Grade Rookie Pirate (Green) cards could probably sell for around 220,000.
The Black Iron Grade Flesh Demon (Gold) card he had never used before fluctuated around 600,000 on the market.
Including his previous savings, he now had roughly 1.2 million in deposits.
Lu Su could not help being startled by his own wealth. Across two lifetimes, he had never seen this much money.
Still, this was rare even among Black Iron Grade Card Masters. After all, those capable of producing Red Cards were exceedingly scarce.
An ordinary Black Iron Grade Card Master who could only produce Blue Cards definitely could not accumulate wealth this quickly.
Otherwise, the Spirit Summoning Society would not have been able to buy off those cash-strapped Card Masters so easily before.
Pushing aside those irrelevant thoughts, Lu Su listed all the materials he intended to sell on the trading site, then began browsing for the materials he needed.
That was right. Lu Su had already decided who he would make his next card of.
Suddenly, his eyes lit up as he found the material he needed.
Bronze Grade Chosen One (Purple), priced at 880,000.
However, he did not have that much cash on hand, so he could only message the seller privately.
After taking a picture of the Flesh Demon (Gold), Lu Su sent a message.
"Hello, sir. Could I trade this material plus 300,000 cash for it?"
After sending the message, Lu Su silently waited for the other party's reply.
Before long, the other party sent back a single word.
"Yes."
The price Lu Su offered was about ten or twenty thousand higher than the listed price, so it was only natural for the seller to agree.
Soon, with Goo Goo Chicken handling the delivery, the transaction was completed.
Looking at the Chosen One (Purple) in his hand, Lu Su could not help smiling.
Everything was ready. It was time to start making the card.
Lu Su focused intently as he drew a young man wearing a straw hat, a red vest, blue shorts, and a foolish grin across the card's surface.
As Lu Su covered the material with his Spiritual Power, he once again arrived in that dark Mysterious Space.
Please begin compiling your story.
Luffy was born in Foosha Village in the East Blue.
From a young age, he underwent inhuman training under his grandfather Garp, a Marine vice admiral. His grandfather hoped he would become the strongest Marine.
By chance, Luffy met Red-Haired Shanks, one of the Four Sea Emperors, in Foosha Village and became his friend despite their age difference.
During Shanks's stay in Foosha Village, Luffy was furious that Shanks did not react to being insulted by the bandit king Higuma, and accidentally ate the Rubber-Rubber Fruit as a result.
When Luffy went looking for Higuma to take revenge, he was thrown into the sea. Just as he was about to die in the jaws of a sea beast, Shanks saved him at the cost of his left arm.
When Shanks left, Luffy swore to him that he would become the Pirate King. To that end, Shanks gave Luffy his straw hat.
At the age of seventeen, Luffy chose to set sail.
After going to sea, Luffy encountered Koby, who was doing odd jobs under Alvida. After defeating Alvida, the two arrived in Shells Town and met Zoro, who had been captured by Captain Morgan. After defeating Morgan, the Marine captain who abused his authority, Luffy invited Zoro to join him.
Later, the group met Nami in Orange Town, and together they defeated the pirate Buggy.
In Syrup Village, the Straw Hat crew successfully defeated the pirate Kuro, who had disguised himself as Kaya's family butler. They recruited Usopp into their team and obtained their first proper pirate ship, the Going Merry.
Afterward, at the sea restaurant Baratie, Luffy met Sanji. At the same time, they defeated Don Krieg, the overlord of the East Blue. However, during this period, Zoro clashed with Dracule Mihawk and was severely wounded after being defeated.
After Sanji joined them, the group headed for Nami's hometown, Cocoyasi Village.
In Cocoyasi Village, Luffy learned of Nami's past. He fulfilled his promise to Nami and defeated the fish-man pirate Arlong, who had colluded with the Marine branch. Luffy was consequently given a bounty of 30 million Beli.
As the story reached this point, the card floating before Lu Su emitted a faint glow, representing the Mysterious Space's preliminary recognition of his story.
After quietly exhaling, Lu Su continued compiling Luffy's story.
When Robin suddenly left, Luffy did not hesitate to decide that he would bring her back. Thus, Luffy's crew rushed straight to Enies Lobby, willing to declare war on the World Government to save Robin.
On Enies Lobby, Luffy developed the Rubber-Rubber Fruit's Gear Second and Gear Third, successfully rescuing Robin.
The story ended there, and Lu Su waited for the Mysterious Space's judgment in relief.
It was not that he did not want to continue writing, but he could clearly feel that the material could only support the story up to this point.
Still, that was perfectly reasonable. After all, Luffy during the Worst Generation and Sea Emperor eras was obviously not something a Bronze Grade card could create.
Honestly, Lu Su was already very satisfied with getting this far. Judging by its performance in the original work, the strength of Gear Third clearly exceeded the Bronze Grade.
Before long, Lu Su returned to reality.
In a daze, Lu Su seemed to see an optimistic, cheerful young man living a magnificent life of adventure upon the sea.
The next moment, he saw the card floating before him.
Straw Hat Kid Luffy Rank: Bronze Quality: Red Category: Creature Skills: Rubber-Rubber Fruit: After eating the Rubber-Rubber Fruit, Luffy's body gained the traits of rubber. Gear Third
Looking at the card's information, Lu Su had not expected the Mysterious Space to truly recognize the setting of Gear Third.
In the original work, Gear Third could sink a Marine warship with a single blow.
Even though the card restricted Luffy by making him enter cooldown after using Gear Third, it was still an undeniably powerful trump card.
Suppressing his excitement, Lu Su summoned Luffy.
In the future, I'll write card stories like this too—just the beginning and the end. Otherwise, they're simply too long. I'm sure you fine readers do not want to watch me pad out two or three chapters over a single card. Love you all.
