Background / History

Lu Su was an orphan in Shanghai City who became a Card Master with no family backing or financial safety net. After registering as Black Iron Grade, he became a public example for Shanghai City No. 1 High School and the Card Master Association, though he downplayed his own accomplishments in interviews. Even at Black Iron Grade, he created a Red-quality card—an achievement Jiang Wang considered extraordinary for someone so new to card making. 5 23

His early rise was shaped by the Black Flag Secret Realm. Lu Su chose to enter despite its danger, demonstrated that he possessed both Purple- and Red-quality combat cards, and later returned to settle Zhou Yi's death. The Spirit Summoning Society coerced Lu Su into signing a contract through Gu Wu. However, the agreement bound the original owner of his body rather than Lu Su himself, leaving the Society unaware that its control had failed.
