Background / History

Xu Yu entered the world in another person’s body rather than being born into it conventionally. He retains knowledge from an information-age previous life and uses it to pursue political influence, Soul Tool development, and a system of shared governance rather than sole rule by Bibi Dong. 14 106

He initially sought to become Bibi Dong’s disciple, but she instead directed him to stand with Spirit Hall’s Golden Generation. He later became the disciple of the Ninth Elder, Golden Goose, after enduring her harsh test and medicinal treatment. 4 5 His early survival strategy centered on growing strong enough to avoid being discarded by Spirit Hall or targeted by Tang San and Tang Hao. 1 6

After secretly obtaining Ah Yin’s 100,000-year soul bone, Xu Yu awakened the Contract Tome and began building a network of contracted summoned beasts. The Chaos Ancient Tree became his Life Guardian Battle Beast, while Blue Silver Grass later developed into A Lan, the Blue Silver King. 6 61 His rapid growth shifted him from a support-oriented student into a powerful combatant and political figure capable of organizing his own faction within Spirit Hall. 70 71

Moss Head later reveals that Xu Yu was once the Law Emperor, a major human ruler in a war against gods and immortals.
