Choosing the Four Garden Masters

Liu Erlong smiled. "I never thought we'd get to make the rules ourselves."

Tang Yuehua said softly, "Rules are what will help this place last."

Xiao Yun smiled, wrote the date beneath the rules, then turned to everyone. "All right. From today on, those are the rules of Years Manor."

He paused. "Oh, there's one more thing."

Everyone looked at him.

"We can choose the masters of the Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter Gardens now," Xiao Yun said. "Each garden can choose its own master. Just let me know when you've decided."

Dugu Yan immediately raised her hand. "I choose Aunt Erlong as master of the Summer Garden!"

Liu Erlong was briefly taken aback, then smiled. "Yan Yan, there are only two of us in the Summer Garden, and I'm responsible for the manor's internal affairs. You should be the garden master."

Dugu Yan thought it over. With only the two of them in the Summer Garden and Aunt Erlong already holding another position, it really would not suit her to be garden master as well. "In that case, I'll be the Summer Garden's master for now. No one else has moved in yet anyway."

At present, Xue Qianren was the only resident of the Spring Garden, in Jingzhe Courtyard. Although she was away, the position of garden master could only be left to her.

The Winter Garden was much the same, with only Tang Yuehua living in Winter Solstice Courtyard. She was also responsible for external affairs, but for now, she was still the only choice for garden master.

The Autumn Garden was the tricky one. Four people lived there: Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, Xivia, and Shenghua.

The four looked at one another, unsure whom to choose.

"I think Zhu Qing would be a good choice," Ning Rongrong said.
