Zhu Zhuqing was born into the Star Luo Empire's Zhu Family, where the family’s daughters were tied to the Dai royal family through political marriages and the imperial succession struggle. She was engaged to Dai Mubai, but the arrangement offered her little agency and left her vulnerable to the brutal consequences of failure. Her father was strict, her mother emotionally distant, and her brothers largely indifferent, though her grandmother treated her kindly. At twelve, she fled the Star Luo capital alone, evaded pursuers, and traveled to Suotuo City. 159 554 863 868

Her upbringing followed the Star Luo nobility's strict military customs. She began basic training at four, meditation at five, awakened her Martial Soul at six, and learned to hunt ten-year Soul Beasts independently by eight. Zhu Zhuyun, seven years her senior, received the family's primary attention, while Zhu Zhuqing regarded herself as a backup. After Dai Mubai fled, she faced the choice of following him or dying under the succession system.
