Gu Yue is introduced at the Spirit Pagoda as Leng Yaozhu’s other disciple. She later joins Gu You, Tang Wulin, Xie Xie, and the others in Eastsea Academy’s Class Zero. 9 59

During the Beginner Spirit Ascension Platform expedition, Gu Yue senses an unusual hostility surrounding Gu You and privately warns Tang Wulin to avoid becoming involved with him. When pursued by a Thousand-year Crystal Bear, she relies on teleportation and elemental manipulation to escape before seeking Gu You’s assistance. 63 65 66

After leaving the platform early following her conflict with Gu You, Gu Yue meets Di Tian in secret. Di Tian addresses her as “My Lord,” while she identifies Gu You’s destructive aura with the Purple Emperor Sky-Destroying Dragon rather than any surviving Dragon King. Her memories are stated to be incomplete. 67 69

Cai Yuer later recognizes Gu Yue’s command over all six elements and offers her direct entry into Shrek Academy’s Inner Court. Gu Yue subsequently infiltrates the Inner Court before completing the required registration, using precise spatial control, the assistance of fierce Soul Beasts, and favorable circumstances. 110 124

At Shrek, Gu Yue remains Leng Yaozhu’s disciple and guides her classmates through Spirit Pagoda Headquarters to the Spirit Soul Tower. When confronted by the Crystal Bear, she rapidly evaluates its strength, uses wind to obstruct its vision, teleports repeatedly, and selects an escape route rather than fighting recklessly. She is initially guarded toward humans and becomes distrustful of them after her early experiences with Gu You. However, she later tells him that he is “different from them,” signaling that she distinguishes him from humanity at large. 86 87

Gu Yue has a sharp temper and reacts strongly to disrespect or unwanted familiarity, particularly after being forced to call Gu You “big brother” during the Crystal Bear incident. She later makes an effort to control her temper after being reprimanded by him. 66 67 165
