Arc 17The Gods Break Through

Murphy’s campaign to contain the returning gods failed to stop their assaults, while Sophia sacrificed herself to save Arkaim. Murphy then turned against the gods and their supporters, and escalating confrontations between the Wizard Alliance and the United States erupted into open war.

  • Murphy opened a time-accelerated chip institute, received a commercial-grade magical AI chip, and promised its pioneers a cure for vampirism’s harmful effects.
  • Murphy cured Sophia’s sunlight sensitivity and showed her a Floo doorway, then turned to investigate Merpeople killings and prepare Britain for the spread of magic.
  • David Watson tested Morris Kent in a battle simulation, recruited him into Chimera Squad, and later joined him and Elena Joyce in confronting the Godfather, whose monster attack ended when the Godslaying Cannon destroyed a giant crab.
  • Jacqueline’s young wizards attempted to seize Italy’s leaders, but their attacks killed several wizards, spread footage of magic to the public, and coincided with William’s apparent return from the dead.
  • Murphy launched three AI-controlled missiles at the Moon, but its defenses destroyed or diverted them, and the crimson spear Gungnir threatened Arkaim, London, and Siberia before Murphy’s interventions helped protect the cities.
  • Odin, Dagda, and a Brazilian colossus renewed their attacks as magic spread, but Murphy’s forces destroyed Dagda and Leonard Tomic sacrificed himself in an explosion after Odin broke free.
  • The Holy Wall fell under an assault on Arkaim, and the Golden Holy Grail captured the attackers, but Sophia sacrificed herself and became an empty body as Murphy learned he was Arkaim’s emperor.
  • Murphy resolved to unite the world by force, while disputes over magical resources escalated into a Caribbean standoff and the United States and Britain went to war amid devastating orbital attacks and drone strikes.

Arc 18Murphy and the Gods

Murphy conquered the modern world, traveled into the past, and tried to find ways to weaken the gods while shaping their legends and rivalries. After Ragnarok devastated Asgard and Thor revealed himself as Ra, Loki escaped to the next era.

  • Serika Wood’s forces seized the Magical Congress, and Murphy’s machines and troops helped the Soviet Union defeat the United States as President William surrendered.
  • Murphy established the Human Empire, then used the Time Magic Box to travel back to Camelot and found Miriam imprisoned by Merlin and Salazar.
  • Murphy rescued Miriam and learned about the gods’ plan involving Nidhogg, then killed Cernunnos and used his divine power to travel to a time before the gods existed.
  • Murphy destroyed the first gods’ stone bodies, taught people basic knowledge, and discovered that belief repeatedly turned his teachings into new gods.
  • Murphy gave Homer the Nibelung epic and made a deal with Apollo and Hades to use its legend against their rivals.
  • Loki brought the Ring of the Nibelung to Odin, but Apollo became Siegfried and the ring helped unleash Ragnarok, ending with Hades ordering an assault on Asgard.
  • Thor defeated the underworld forces, revealed his connection to Ra, and declared war on the Olympian Gods, while Loki shed his disguise and traveled to the next era.

Arc 19The Magic Web War

Murphy built the Magic Web and drew the gods and Christian forces into a struggle over its power and the Rhinegold. As Lucifer advanced his plan through Arthur, Morrigan set Mordred against him, and the battle at Camlann Hill widened with the arrival of Viking and Roman forces.

  • Murphy killed Merlin, rescued the camp from Christian forces, and began building the Magic Web with the wizards and children of the gods.
  • Murphy completed the Magic Web and persuaded Morrigan that it could strengthen the gods, but she and Dagda planned to seize it and kill him.
  • Murphy escaped the gods’ trap, rescued Miriam from a burning village, and connected the distant mana nodes to complete the Web.
  • Merlin’s staged revelation of the core incantation reached Odin, who sent Loki to deliver it and a golden spear before seeking Rhinegold with Vali.
  • Odin and Loki fought the Christian forces, while Murphy revealed himself as Loki and was captured and transformed into Lucifer, the King of Angels.
  • Lucifer allied with the Christian God and designed a Holy Grail ritual around Arthur’s quest, while Murphy arrived in Camelot and took Miriam and prisoner slaves.
  • Sophia learned from Miriam’s letter about the war and Dragon Plague, while Lugh and Morrigan discussed the Christian takeover of the Magic Web and Morrigan’s plan for Mordred.
