By the time they returned home, it was already evening.

The moon shone clear and bright, just a sliver away from full. Walking along the paths of suburban Hampstead, it looked overhead like an Oil Lamp hanging from the roof.

He pushed open the front door and stepped inside.

Loren walked lightly, in high spirits, humming a tune whose name he could not recall. He could not quite remember the lyrics either. It was a lively song, sung by a woman in his memory, and he thought he had imitated it quite well, putting on a nauseatingly affected voice.

As he kept humming, the lyrics gradually came back to him.

"It's my first night out with you. This is my first evening date with you.

Treat me right and buy me shoes. Treat me well and buy me shoes.

Let me be your fantasy, play with me. Let me be your lover and play with me..."

Hermione followed behind him, closed the door, changed her shoes, and silently listened to the playful tune and its rather improper lyrics.

"Just give me some time. Give me some time.

I will be ready. I'll be ready soon."

This man acted as relaxed and at ease in the Granger house as if he had returned to his own home. He rummaged out a brand-new bath towel, prepared his toiletries, and pushed open the door to the Second Floor bathroom.

Hermione watched him go upstairs. Crookshanks emerged from some corner, and upon hearing the sounds from the bathroom, tilted his head and widened his sparkling eyes. In two quick leaps, he pounced on the bathroom door and began scratching at it relentlessly.

Loren did not bathe immediately. Instead, he looked around and touched things here and there, feeling both familiar and unfamiliar.
