Background / History
Loren arrived in the wizarding world with the soul of an adult in an infant’s body. In November 1981, he was with his parents, Peter and Lily Morgan, when Sirius Black pursued Peter Pettigrew. Pettigrew’s explosion killed Loren’s parents and twelve Muggles; Loren survived beneath his mother’s protection, his eyes glowing blue during a magical outburst. 1
Afterward, Loren lived at the Sirius Children’s Welfare Institute, where he had no clear memories of the attack and was told that his parents had died in a car accident. In 1985, his maternal great-uncle arranged to take him from the institute. 1
At Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall and Albus Dumbledore identified Loren’s unusual magical perception: he could see phenomena others struggled to perceive, including Apparition landing points. He chose to tell Dumbledore about the strange visions he experienced. 14 15
Loren became Nicolas Flamel’s designated heir and gained access to Flamel’s knowledge through the Fantasy Book. With the Sorcerer’s Stone, he removed the Trace from himself and sensed the lingering will of the Stone’s creator. 113
His search for his past eventually brought him into the mirror illusion connected to Mary’s Mirror. Re-experiencing his parents’ death gave him clarity about Sirius Black and Pettigrew’s responsibility; he later refused Sirius’s apology and forgiveness. 201 248
Loren’s inherited connection to Fairy Morgan later manifested as an instinctive transformation talent. He initially transformed only into a long-haired lion cat, then began studying Human Transfiguration to improve his control. 356 358
By his final school years, Loren had developed spatial magic based on his understanding of Apparition, magical consciousness, Merlin’s time-space magic, and his research into Dementors and Boggarts. He presented a plan to relocate magical beings to the Promised Land through a new spatial displacement device. 768 794 810
Appearance
Loren is described as a black-haired, black-eyed child, though his eyes can display a striking crystal-blue magical glow. 1 213 792
- Crystal-blue eyes capable of perceiving magic directly. 14 15
- Luna Lovegood perceives a blue-winged butterfly shielding his eyes. 160
- Can assume several non-human forms through his inherited transformation talent, including a lion cat, a Basilisk, and a Unicorn. 358 406 487
Personality
Loren is cheerful, sociable, and skilled at winning people over, as shown by how quickly Hermione’s parents become fond of him. He is also mischievous: he pranks Hermione, manipulates situations to his advantage, and enjoys provoking others with a straight face. 125 132
Despite often claiming that trouble is bothersome and preferring a comfortable life, Loren is observant, mature, and protective of people he cares about. He recognizes systemic problems in the magical world but initially lacks interest in personally reforming them. 113
His curiosity can become dangerous. Loren pursues soul magic, Dark Magic, Fiendfyre, and experiments involving Boggarts and Dementors, drawing concern from both Flamel and Dumbledore. 321 326 333 689

- Began studying Fiendfyre after Flamel explained its extreme danger and complexity. 321
- Experiments with combining Transfiguration and Fiendfyre. 334
- Later demonstrates a unique, gentler form of Fiendfyre to Dumbledore and Grindelwald. 619
- Continues practicing control over the cursed fire despite its risks. 384
Inherited Transformation Talent
Loren inherited a transformation ability associated with Fairy Morgan’s bloodline.
- His first known form is a long-haired lion cat. 358
- Can transform into a nearly ten-meter Basilisk; this form has mismatched eyes, one of which contains a cold gray magical flame. 406
- Can become a Unicorn after studying their anatomy with Hagrid’s assistance. 487
- Initially cannot freely select forms or fully control the transformation. 358
Alchemy and Potions
Loren studies alchemy under Flamel’s influence and develops practical skill in potion-making.
- Investigates Sorcerer’s Stone rituals and biological refinement. 118 125
- Deciphers runes from Salazar Slytherin’s locket. 532
