Background / History

Su Xi obtained Qiqi after defeating the Ghoul Commander and receiving the Legendary core item The Homebody's Guide to Immortality. Activating it transformed Su Xi into a much shorter zombie avatar and added Qiqi to her Dimensional Avatar roster 129.

Qiqi initially appeared less valuable to Su Xi than her stronger combat-focused avatars because she specialized in group healing. Her low-level Sluggishness talent immediately changed that assessment: by drastically reducing sensory, awareness, and pain perception, it allowed Su Xi to better endure the backlash caused by Xiao You's Word Spirit Art 130.

During the Moonlight Flower Demon incident, Qiqi's healing sustained both herself and Kurumi's incarnation. Kurumi's First Bullet increased Qiqi's attack speed, allowing repeated sword strikes to restore their health to nearly full during the skill's duration 132. Qiqi later became a frequent form for suppressing mana-backlash pain, though the avatar could only dull the symptoms rather than heal Su Xi's exhausted body 134 184.

After traveling beyond Earth, Qiqi discovered that her zombie nature was compatible with Divine Power lingering in concentrated corpses. She absorbed this power to improve her active skills, gain passive abilities, and ultimately evolve to Epic rank 317 319 324 325.

A Damaged Zombie Charm later gave Qiqi the Self-Command state, allowing her to separate from Su Xi without consuming mental energy. She subsequently accompanied Snow Wind on undersea missions to search for Talent Chests 462. By this point, Qiqi retained Su Xi's memories even while operating independently 472 591.

Appearance

Qiqi is a notably small, pale zombie girl. Her avatar form is approximately 1.25 meters tall—around twenty centimeters shorter than Su Xi's original body—and is commonly mistaken for an exceptionally accurate cosplay 129 136.

  • White or silver-white hair 135 317
  • Childlike stature; one of the shortest known avatar forms available to Su Xi 129
  • Usually wears a zombie-style outfit; she has also appeared in a Taoist robe 135 317
  • Her short height is conspicuous enough that acquaintances notice Su Xi has changed form 144

Personality

Qiqi retains Su Xi's strategic thinking and practical caution. She often adopts the avatar specifically to mitigate pain and mental strain, but she also recognizes its combat and support value when coordinating with stronger allies 130 134 161.

She is protective of companions and subordinates, particularly Lei Fa and the Elemental Sprites. Although annoyed by Lei Fa's impulsive behavior, Qiqi repeatedly acts to keep her from being captured or harmed 145 212 239.

In Genesis Space, Qiqi is initially described as slow to react and disinclined to converse, but Kurumi's visit prompts her to investigate disturbances across Teyvat. Her speech and memory are stated to have improved significantly by this period 589.

Abilities & Skills

Immortal Method: Cold Sickness Ghost Messenger

Qiqi's primary healing skill creates an ice-based effect that lets her attacks restore allies' HP. Its healing scales from her attack power and becomes substantially stronger when her attack speed is increased 132.

  • Normal and heavy attacks restore teammates' HP while the skill is active. 132
  • Kurumi's First Bullet raised Qiqi's attack speed to 1.8 attacks per second, enabling sustained healing through repeated strikes. 132
  • During an interception mission, the skill affected hundreds of temporary allies and restored 3,010 HP per tick. 222
  • Cold Suffering Echo restores 2% of Qiqi's maximum mana whenever the Ghost Messenger hits after activation. 324

Sluggishness

A low-level talent that heavily dampens Qiqi's senses, awareness, and pain perception 130.

  • Reduces sensory perception, awareness, and pain perception by 80%. 130
  • Greatly mitigates the pain of Su Xi's mana backlash. 130 317
  • Does not remove the underlying fatigue or physical damage caused by overexertion. 184

Divine Power Absorption

Qiqi can absorb Divine Power from qualifying corpse-type superpowered lifeforms due to compatibility with her zombie form 317 318.

  • Can absorb Divine Power from concentrated corpses of Rank IV or above. 318
  • Raises Qiqi's skill levels when sufficient compatible Divine Power is absorbed. 317 319
  • Allows her to hear clues left within certain corpses, including directions toward a laboratory on Corpse Planet. 322
  • A compatible Godhead Fragment evolved her Life Level to Epic rank and awakened two passive skills. 325

Past Memories

An Intermediate Talent that can awaken special items and reveal their associated abilities 130 453.

  • Activated on a chopstick, it awakened the item's special skill. 453
  • Each player can awaken only one item in the relevant space. 453
  • Qiqi must cancel her avatar state before learning skills that do not fit her avatar settings. 453

Corpse Control Technique

A skill awakened from a Damaged Zombie Charm 462.

  • The charm was consumed when the skill and Self-Command state were granted. 462
  • Its exact control parameters are not specified. 462

Resurrection

Qiqi possesses a group resurrection capability, though it had not yet been enhanced when she gained Self-Command 462.

  • Her resurrection ability is considered weaker than Su Xi's main body's options, but remains significant. 462
  • Qiqi intends to awaken Bone Resurrection while undertaking missions with Snow Wind. 462

Story Role / Major Arcs

Acquisition and Moonlight Flower Demon Incident

Qiqi is acquired as Su Xi's third documented Dimensional Avatar and quickly becomes crucial for mana-backlash management. Her healing supports Su Xi and Kurumi during the Flower Demon battle, while her form is used to endure the aftermath of massive mana expenditure 129 132 134.

Lei Fa Conflict

Qiqi spends roughly twenty hours defeating the golden boss Lei Fa, obtains rare Fox Demon equipment from the victory, and later finds the fox sealed in a dirt ball by Elemental Sprites in her personal space 144. Lei Fa is subsequently restored through the Legendary Love Summoning Contract: Lei Fa, freeing her from the Divine Cult's captivity 212.

Beast God Trial Grounds

Qiqi supports Fu Bingqiao and Kurumi through the Beast Fighting Arena, clearing forty-nine levels in under two hours. When Lei Fa's conscious phantom appears on the fiftieth level, Qiqi and Kurumi intervene directly to defeat it and gain the Beast God's blessing 205.

Corpse Planet and Epic Promotion

On Corpse Planet, Qiqi's zombie form proves uniquely compatible with corpse-bound Divine Power. She uses this compatibility to improve her skills, discover clues within corpses, awaken Cold Suffering Echo, and evolve to Epic rank through a Godhead Fragment 317 322 324 325.

Genesis Space Investigation

In Genesis Space, Qiqi leaves Bubu Pharmacy with Kurumi to investigate reports of zombie-like creatures across Teyvat. They meet Zhongli on Mt. Tianheng, investigate Mondstadt without success, and later seek Nahida's cooperation in reviving the King of Great Mercy Tree 589.

Trivia

  • Qiqi's group healing once affected hundreds of players because temporary mission participants were treated as teammates. 222
  • Her avatar is particularly useful to Su Xi not for raw damage, but for reducing the severe pain caused by mana backlash. 130 317
  • Qiqi's true-form combat output was noted to be less efficient than Ilena's large-area magic against rare monsters. 155
  • She was initially regarded as a healing-focused avatar of limited importance, before Sluggishness and Divine Power absorption established her as one of Su Xi's most useful support forms. 130 317
