"A long time ago, after our thermal weapons became obsolete and we manufactured our first mecha, I believed that the Earth's regulatory power was us—it was our Guardian God mecha."
"But later, the initial appearance of Yamata changed my mind. This thought has been brewing in my mind for years, and only today has it finally become reality!"
Dr. Chen pointed at the two behemoths on Mount Fuji and said slowly:
"The manifestation of Earth's natural regulatory power is them!"
General Luo's expression tightened, and he shook his head, seemingly in disagreement.
But seeing Dr. Chen in such an agitated state, he didn't say anything.
Under the gaze of countless people across the void, the Beast King moved.
He looked up at the four directions under the starry sky for a long time, then let out a low roar toward Yamata and turned to head back the way he came.
Step by step, he retraced his path, returning once again to the sea.
It seemed as if this excursion today was merely to find himself a little brother.
As for Yamata, he became instantly lively and playful after the Beast King left.
Except for the eldest head, which was furious and kept roaring at the other heads, the others were acting quite joyfully.
They paid no mind to their eldest brother's annoyance, continuing to play amongst themselves.
One of the heads even spat a mouthful of magma toward the sky, whether purely for fun or to set off some fireworks for entertainment, it was hard to tell.
As for the two goofy heads, they let out a massive yawn and laid back down to sleep.
Finally, under the helpless roaring of the eldest brother, the eight heads managed to reach a consensus.
Six heads dragged the two sleeping ones, twisting their bodies as they returned into the volcano, back into their beloved magma pool to continue accumulating power.
Meanwhile, Luo Bing had already entered the sea, diving deep to the bottom in one go, not even letting his back spikes show.
I thought that coming here might lead to a great battle, but I never expected to encounter a situation like this. It really is like watching a comedy; these eight heads of Yamata are quite something.
Luo Bing muttered to himself, feeling both amused and helpless.
When those three heads of Yamata first burst out of the magma, Luo Bing had almost thought he'd run into the lifelong nemesis of Godzilla—that Three-Headed Dragon!
After all, although Yamata looked like an eight-headed giant serpent, those heads were ferocious, with sharp angles that deviated from a serpentine shape, looking more like dragon heads.
However, in the end, it turned out to be a false alarm.
There was no Three-Headed Dragon Ghidorah; there was only this goofy Yamata.
"However, Dr. Chen's hypothesis has indeed been confirmed... Yamata is not one of those monsters obsessed with slaughter and destruction; he is a native-born Earth titan."
"It seems those monsters really are extraterrestrial, or perhaps subterranean? Humanity has been driven out of the oceans, and our exploration of the deep sea is near zero. There is no way to track where these monsters originate."
Luo Bing sighed to himself.
In a world where monster attacks occur everywhere, finding the source of these Extraterrestrial Monsters is likely no easy task.
Especially when humanity has already lost seventy percent of the Earth's oceans, and even the remaining thirty percent of land is being gradually encroached upon by monsters.
"Forget it. I'll leave these matters to experts like Dr. Chen. As for me..."
Luo Bing pondered for a moment and realized he still had nearly 50 minutes of activity time remaining.
"I expected a grand battle, but Yamata folded immediately, saving me a ton of time."
"I can't return empty-handed. I'll head toward the Pacific Ocean and look around."
As long as he finds one lucky monster, his experience bar will be filled!

Old Tom was a simple observer.
His task was straightforward: every day, he stared at the four large screens in front of him, monitoring images transmitted by satellites.
If an emergency occurred in the areas monitored by other observers, they would sound an alarm, as it could mean a monster had made landfall in their sector.
Yes, a monster landfall event, not just a monster attack.
After implementing a strategic retreat, the crises faced by Lighthouse were instantly reduced by more than half.
Most monsters preferred to roam in the seawater; they would come ashore, wreak havoc in the coastal area for a while, and then return to the ocean.
For this type of monster, observers only needed to record the event, and that was the end of it.
However, some monsters would continue to advance inland after landing, showing quite the momentum to traverse the entire continent.
Facing these reckless monsters, observers had to sound the alarm and dispatch mechs to intercept them.
Old Tom's job was even simpler, as he was responsible for monitoring the Pacific Ocean region.
Although Lighthouse had abandoned its maritime hegemony after the monsters appeared, the yearning for the sea still remained.
Given the current state of affairs, they could only use satellites to look at the Pacific Ocean for some small comfort.
Old Tom benefited from this; aside from recording a few relatively important events each day, he had never once had to sound an alarm.
If a monster were to truly cross the entire Pacific Ocean and head toward the Lighthouse mainland, that would mean the monster had entered the observation zone of other observers, and it would have nothing to do with Old Tom.
Therefore, Old Tom lived a very comfortable life.
This was the compensation the Lighthouse base provided for his legs, which had been blown off.
His legs had been lost for the sake of the base, blown off while fighting monsters.
His gaze swept across the four large screens; everything was quiet.
Old Tom sat in his wheelchair, a notebook in his hand, though he had no intention of recording anything.
"I don't know what happened tonight, but quite a few big shots haven't gone to sleep; they've all run off to headquarters to discuss matters."
Old Tom muttered to himself, feeling a bit curious, yet he knew these were not things he could ask about.
"I really hope these monsters can be wiped out soon so we can go back to how things were twenty years ago. Back then, I could still go to Hawaii for a vacation every summer..."
When he reached this point, Old Tom shook his head with a self-deprecating smile:
"Hawaii has now become the lair of the Four-Armed Satan, and it's impossible to reclaim it in this lifetime."
The Four-Armed Satan, standing 115 meters tall, with a speed of 8, strength of 10, armor of 9, and high toxicity, was a bona fide King of Monsters!
It was a King of Monsters that resembled a chimpanzee in appearance, walked upright, and possessed four arms and a hideous beast head!
After this King of Monsters settled in Hawaii and turned that vacation paradise into its lair, Lighthouse adopted a strategy of total retreat.
They no longer dared to engage the King of Monsters; the battle against Mountain Steel had completely shattered their courage!
"I throw heavy punches at ordinary monsters, but I act timidly before the King of Monsters."
This was the perfect portrait of them.
Even if the Four-Armed Satan just stayed in Hawaii and had no current intention of running to the neighboring continent, they didn't dare to gamble.
Sighing in his heart, Old Tom switched the perspectives of the four large screens. He soon discovered the traces of three monsters on the sea surface and on an island.
One of them was even an "old acquaintance." When Old Tom came to observe yesterday, this monster was lying on its back on the small island, and it was still lying there today.
"Looks like it won't wake up for another eight or ten days."
As Old Tom recorded the information about the few monsters in his work log, he grumbled inwardly:
"Sleep, sleep, sleep—why don't you just sleep yourself to death?"
After finishing the entry, Old Tom locked the large screens onto these monsters, his face gradually becoming expressionless.
It was an expression where hope had gradually dissipated, leaving only despair behind.
"Sigh... I really wish I could be like the heroes in those old movies and have superpowers."
Old Tom began to daydream. He raised his right hand, clenched it into a fist, and extended his index finger.
"One hit from my long-range shot, and you're dead!"
After he finished speaking, he reached out toward the monster on the first screen and made a "pew" sound.
Then, he made a "pew" sound at the second screen.
The two monsters were, of course, completely unscathed and still jumping around as lively as ever.
Old Tom kept a straight face and made a "pew" sound at the monster on the third screen!
The next moment, a glowing blue beam appeared on the screen, slamming directly into that monster!
When the beam vanished, the monster was dead as a doornail.
Old Tom stood frozen in place, his right hand still held in the "pew" gesture, but he was completely stunned.
"Do I have superpowers?"
That was Old Tom's first thought, but he quickly concluded that he was just daydreaming.
He snapped back to reality, quickly turned the large screen, and adjusted the angle.
After some maneuvering, Old Tom finally locked onto the target.
It was a massive monster with a bulky build and thorny spines growing along its back.
"A single beam attack instantly killed another monster..."
Old Tom was somewhat shocked; this was the first time he had witnessed the majesty of a Beast King.
Old Tom did not hesitate any longer. He quickly read and copied the video data, then submitted it through internal channels.
Old Tom was out of the loop and didn't know the intelligence regarding the Beast King, but the intelligence department over at the Lighthouse was no pushover.
Soon, the data was passed up through layers of command until it reached the hands of the many big shots at the Lighthouse base.
"Take a look, gentlemen. This is the King of Titan Beasts that appeared in Sakurajima!"
A wrinkled white general looked at the group of people beside him—white, black, and brown—and spoke:
"You all saw what the satellites observed earlier. This Beast King met with the Titan Beast Yamata no Orochi and forced it to submit!"
"Some of you were skeptical about this Beast King's combat power before, so take a look at this footage now. It was captured by an observer under our base."
"The location is roughly where the waters of Sakurajima meet the Pacific Ocean..."
The white general looked at the group and said slowly:
"Gentlemen! The Four-Armed Satan's range of activity is growing ever larger. Who knows, one day he might cross the ocean and arrive on our continent. When that happens, we will have no power to resist him!"
"In that battle with Mountain Steel a few years ago, our four best pilots and our two strongest mechs were lost. Of course, the Celestial Dynasty didn't fare any better than we did."
"But what was the result? Mountain Steel was severely wounded—or at least, it appeared to be a severe injury, but God only knows whether he was actually hurt badly or just slightly. Regardless, he eventually returned to the sea, just like Caesar the Great returning in triumph!"
"The Four-Armed Satan is not something we can handle. We need Titan Beasts, we need Titan Beasts capable of resisting or even defeating the Four-Armed Satan!"
The old general pointed at the beast king on the screen:
"Like this one!"

Randomly find a lucky monster and gift it a free Atomic Breath.
This was the harvest Luo Bing gained after meeting Yamata no Orochi.
Although the number of monsters was vast, the Earth was so large that, once dispersed, they actually occupied a rather sparse amount of space.
At least, that was the case for Luo Bing. He had searched for a while, nearly traveling from the coastal waters of Sakurajima into the designated range of the Pacific Ocean, before he finally found this one.
When Luo Bing spotted the target from afar, the monster was lying on its back on a small island, fast asleep.
