Pacific Rim Godzilla Beats Up Monsters

The three of them walked together until they reached the edge of the beach.

Led by Luo Bing and Junko, Luo Yun was able to pass through without a hitch this time.

It had to be said, her brother's face really was a pass that cleared every obstacle in their way.

However, there were still conditions; she could only stay on the perimeter, sitting in a vehicle with binoculars to watch. If anything went wrong, the staff member was instructed to floor the gas pedal and get them out of there immediately.

The person sitting in the backseat with Luo Yun was also a connection hire—reportedly the granddaughter of the current Emperor. Upon hearing the news about Godzilla, she had cried and begged to come see it.

And so... she was arranged to sit with Luo Yun.

The only ones who could go further and reach the beach area were Luo Bing and Koizumi Junko.

From a distance, the two watched Old Luo and Dr. Chen, both covered in sand, looking like completely different people compared to their usual images.

Luo Bing struggled to hold back a laugh.

Ignoring Old Luo's attempt to gild his own lily, Dr. Chen, hearing Luo Bing's comment, asked quite candidly:

"Has my unconventional image already become deeply rooted in people's hearts?"

After saying this, Dr. Chen didn't care about the gazes of others. She took off her blue wig and shook it vigorously toward the ground.

Then, as if no one else was there, she put it back on and raised her binoculars to continue observing the sea.

Everyone was somewhat stunned by this display.

They wanted to say something, but seeing how calm Dr. Chen was, they felt there was nothing left to say.

Luo Bing simply turned to ask Old Luo:

"Uncle Luo, Wange and Li Chuyi didn't come. Are they staying inside the mechs?"

"They are in standby mode. I won't have them deploy unless it's an absolute last resort... If the worst-case scenario happens, I will order them to immediately move away from the base and engage in guerrilla harassment!"

Old Luo knew very well that given the combat power the Beast King had displayed so far, Wulei and Blue Blood Blade would be committing suicide if they fought it head-on. Only by fighting from a distance and using guerrilla tactics could they hope to keep it in check.

As for the base, by that point, it would naturally be beyond saving.

Old Luo then continued:

"The day before yesterday, when the Beast King first appeared, our base's radar detected some unusual signals coming from behind the base, but then there was no further movement."

"At the time, we judged it to be a false alarm, but now it seems... the Beast King had already appeared behind our base that day."

"It's just that the Beast King left in the end. Hopefully, it will be the same today!"

Luo Bing nodded heavily:

"Uncle Luo, it will be!"

Old Luo then continued:

"You two go and get ready as well. The Sakura Saber is being repaired around the clock; perhaps it can be fixed before the Beast King wakes up."

Luo Bing nodded, and left with Junko.

"Now that you've sent those little ones away, you should hurry and leave too. If this base loses you, it won't be able to keep running."

Old Luo smiled:

"There is so much talent in this base, and I've only been around a few years longer. Dr. Chen, please don't praise me like that."

After Old Luo finished speaking, he looked back out at the sea:

"Before, I was still cheering at the appearance of the Beast King, happy in my heart that your Titan Beast hypothesis had come true."

"But now, with the Beast King so close, I find myself feeling a bit afraid instead... Perhaps this is what they mean by 'Lord Ye's love of dragons'."

Dr. Chen corrected him quite bluntly:

"That is not 'Lord Ye's love of dragons'; it is simply a natural sense of apprehension."

"As the base commander, you think about too many things. Take me, for example—I don't think about anything at all. I only want to observe more, so there is nothing in my heart to be afraid of..."

As Dr. Chen said this, her voice suddenly cut off.

Then, she slowly lowered her binoculars.

And out on the surface of the sea, that sleeping mountain had begun to stir.

Seawater cascaded off his body like a waterfall, shimmering with a breathtaking, radiant brilliance under the first few rays of the morning sun.

The massive black behemoth stood tall beneath the glow of the rising sun.

In the faint twilight of early morning, the King of Titan Beasts stood upon the ocean, its enormous shadow arching over the coastal base.

He stood there, overlooking the tiny, indistinct figures on the distant shore.

Yet, it was enough to make this moment feel nearly eternal.

Standing on the beach were General Luo, the General Commander of the Sakura Island Mecha Base, and Dr. Chen, the Chief Scientist of the branch base.

In the sea stood Godzilla, the King of Titan Beasts!

The two on the beach stood still, making no move.

The King of Beasts in the sea also stood still, making no move.

Old Luo had long since notified the entire base: if they ever encountered the Beast King, they should stay exactly as they were and remain motionless, like a game of Red Light, Green Light.

If they were truly too shaken to hold their composure, they were to raise both hands in a French military salute and shout "Godzilla!"

They chose the former.

Dr. Chen, however, chose the latter. She raised her hands high and shouted:

"Godzilla! King of the Titans!"

She used this to vent the excitement in her heart.

The Beast King Godzilla lowered his head, looking at the three tiny specks at his feet, each with a different expression.

He reached out his right claw, but it wasn't holding a fish; instead, it was a large sea turtle he had caught along the way, its shell about a meter wide.

The Beast King tossed the large sea turtle beside Dr. Chen, much like the "reward" he had given Captain Cao when they first met.

Afterward, he made no other moves, stepping forward once more to officially set foot on the beach.

This also meant he had arrived within the base's perimeter.

"It's here!"

Lin Wange clasped her hands together, watching the footage transmitted on the display screen.

Beast King Godzilla had truly made landfall!

The only piece of good news was that when the Beast King passed by Dr. Chen, aside from dropping the large sea turtle, he had made no other moves.

"Old Luo, Wulei requests to sortie!"

From another communicator came the firm voice of Li Chuyi simultaneously:

"Request denied, all of you!"

"But he has already stepped onto the main road inside the base!"

Beast King Godzilla had indeed stepped onto the base's main road. Usually, apart from large convoys, only mechs traveled along this path.

But now, a behemoth was walking down this very road.
