The Little Green Men were once a technologically driven and expansionist civilization. Before encountering the Star Eater, they prioritized mechanical technology and created semi-mechanical monsters such as Gai Gang; their later technological stagnation began after the Star Eater elevated compliant priests over rational engineers and researchers 253 265 266.

Under the Star Eater’s influence, the civilization divided between the priestly faction, which gained status by serving the high-dimensional being, and the suppressed Rational Faction. The priests maintained power through devotion and fear, while rationalists preserved the civilization’s older technological path and resented its dependence on the Star Eater 253 278.

Earth Infiltration

The Little Green Men initially approached Earth covertly. Their forward team consisted of fifty members: forty deployed across Earth on missions and ten stationed at an underwater forward base. Their objectives were to observe human civilization, gather intelligence on Titan Beasts, and determine whether Earth could be occupied or exploited 181 251.

Their operatives used human-like shells and replacement tactics to conceal themselves. One group attempted to replace Dr. Chen, while another planned to erase Bai Qingxin’s subjective consciousness and turn her into the living core of the second-generation Gai Gang 144 233.

Two exposed scouts attempted to exploit the asteroid crisis caused by Caesar Ghidorah, demanding that humanity kneel and beg for aid. Under interrogation, they admitted that they lacked the authority to stop the asteroid and had merely been deceiving Earth’s leadership 152 153.

Abandonment and Surrender

After witnessing the defeat of the Star Eater’s projection by an unknown high-dimensional being believed to be Earth’s guardian, the Little Green Men’s fleet commander withdrew from the Solar System and abandoned the Earth-based forward team 180 181.

The stranded forward base surrendered to humanity rather than resist. It attempted to portray its prior surveillance as guidance for “shared prosperity,” but humans did not accept this explanation and continued to investigate its remaining spies 181.

The captured Little Green Men eventually provided technical assistance under pressure, including information relevant to Bai Qingxin’s survival and Earth’s mech development 182.

Rational Faction Rebellion

The expeditionary fleet later returned to Earth under the control of the Rational Faction.
