Bibi Dong is introduced as Spirit Hall's approachable young Holy Maiden and Qian Xunji's disciple. She and Qian Xunji rescue Lin Yu from the Star Dou Great Forest; although she initially tells him to leave, she intervenes when Qian Xunji orders Ghost Douluo to kill him and allows Lin Yu to accompany them to the Heaven Dou Empire. Curious about Lin Yu's unusual clothing, composure, and lack of detectable soul power, she repeatedly questions him about his origins and business. 181

Before meeting Lin Yu, Bibi Dong had met Yu Xiaogang in the Heaven Dou Empire and regarded him as a friend whose knowledge of martial souls outweighed his low strength. 183 Lin Yu later gives her the Archangel's Staff, a powerful purple staff intended to protect her. 182 187

Her growing bond with Lin Yu—and with his daughter Lin Qingyun—brings her into conflict with Qian Xunji.
