Background & History

Ah Yin spent more than 100,000 years as an immobile Blue Silver Emperor in the Star Dou Great Forest. Although she possessed immense longevity, she could not travel while in plant form and knew little beyond her immediate territory. She chose human transformation because remaining a Soul Beast would leave her only another thousand years to live, while becoming human offered the possibility of godhood and meeting her “destined one.” 222 232

Before reaching her mature stage, Ah Yin traveled with Tang Hao and Tang Xiao, who knew her true identity and concealed it. During the confrontation involving Lin Yu and Yu Yuanzhen, she used vines to block Yu Yuanzhen's attack on Lin Yu, exposing herself as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast to the assembled Spirit Masters. 206

Spirit Hall immediately moved to capture her. Tang Hao and Tang Xiao fought Ghost Douluo and Chrysanthemum Douluo to protect her, but Lin Yu intervened against Qian Xunji and saved Ah Yin. Though she initially intended to leave with the Tang brothers, she accepted Lin Yu's offer to remain under his protection until reaching maturity after recognizing that Tang Hao could not defend her from Titled Douluo. 207 209

Ah Yin accompanied Lin Yu into the Star Dou Great Forest and insisted on joining his descent into the Lake of Life. The lake's concentrated life force strengthened her, though pressure prevented her from going deeper. In another world, Ah Yin had reverted to Blue Silver Grass and was being nurtured at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well. Lin Yu transferred Spirit Power to revive her, restoring her first as an infant and then rapidly aging her into a young woman.
