Path to Heaven and Bloodstains (Part Two)

A miracle unfolded at that very moment. Cai'er, utterly spent and even on the brink of death, somehow forced her body upward with her frail arms, carrying Long Haochen with her in a motion almost like a carp flipping upright.

With that lunge, her right hand finally reached into the gate of light. But that movement exhausted every last bit of her potential. The instant her palm entered the gate, Cai'er's eyes flew wide open, yet all light had already vanished from them.

The moment her right hand touched the gate of light, it suddenly blazed with golden radiance. The light enveloped Cai'er and Long Haochen, and with a whoosh, drew them inside. They vanished without a trace.

As Cai'er and Long Haochen disappeared, the Path to Heaven in the air and the platform where the Dawn of Light Demon Hunter Squad stood also began to turn illusory.

The colors twisted and refracted. The next instant, everything had returned to the way the sixth floor of the Tower of Eternity had originally looked. Only Cai'er and Long Haochen were still gone.

Everyone, who had been driven into hysterics by Cai'er's miserable state, panted violently. At the same time, a single thought appeared in all their minds. Cai'er had succeeded!

Golden light swirled as Cai'er, carrying Long Haochen on her back, appeared in a golden world. Endless golden radiance surrounded them. Fine crimson mist drifted through the air, circling Cai'er's body before silently seeping into her along with specks of golden light.

Even the blood on her clothes transformed into drifting bloody mist beneath that golden glow, then quietly merged into her body.

Cai'er's right hand remained stretched out before her, while her left hand tightly held Long Haochen's legs around her waist, as if afraid his body might slip away.
