Cai'er was identified at age three as possessing Innate Internal Spiritual Power above ninety and the physique of a Reincarnation Saintess. She was selected to fuse with the Reincarnation Spirit Furnace and the Sword of Reincarnation, a process that subjected her to prolonged isolation and caused her to lose her six senses one by one. 168 169

Her cultivation left her unable to speak, taste, or see for much of her childhood.
