Longinus helped free Wano’s prisoners and led a resistance against Orochi while keeping Kaido occupied. The rebels overthrew Orochi, but Longinus’s battle with Kaido continued beyond Wano as Whitebeard’s crew set course to intervene.

• Longinus and his companions entered the Flower Capital in disguise, learned about the assassinations targeting Orochi, and found Kyoshiro at the casino.
• Longinus discovered that Gion’s uncle and several daimyo were imprisoned in Udon, then led the rescue and defeated the quarry guards as Kawamatsu freed the captives.
• Longinus, Kawamatsu, and Hiyori confronted Kaido in Kuri while Moria fled with Oden’s corpse, and Apophis later attacked Moria and took the Shadow-Shadow Fruit.
• The freed prisoners and Wano’s allies assembled to resist Orochi, and Longinus assigned them opponents while promising to hold Kaido back.
• Longinus intercepted Kaido over the sea as the resistance advanced on Orochi Castle, where Denjiro revealed himself as Kyoshiro and used a Seastone katana to subdue Orochi.
• After the rebels declared the war’s end, Longinus withdrew from Wano while continuing to fight Kaido, and Whitebeard decided to take his crew there.
• Red-Haired and Hawk Eyes discussed Apophis, Kaido, and Longinus, while Red-Haired said he planned to travel through the Four Blues.

Longinus rescued Law and Rosinante, stopped Arlong, and confronted Apophis, whose schemes revived Kuina and killed Koshiro. After a three-day battle with Apophis and Shanks, Longinus took Kuina with him and was ordered to search for Donquixote Mjosgard, while Hody Jones prepared to exploit a crisis on Fish-Man Island.

• Longinus reached Minion Island, rescued Law and Rosinante from Doflamingo, and took Law into Marine service after Law chose to eat the Op-Op Fruit.
• Apophis used the Fear-Fear and Shadow-Shadow Fruits to control a second body, then went to Isshin Dojo and fought Koshiro, reviving Kuina to force Koshiro to battle at full strength.
• Apophis defeated Koshiro, who died after pushing himself to his limits, and Longinus arrived in time to stop Apophis from killing Zoro and Kuina.
• Longinus drove Apophis away after a clash, and Kuina chose to leave with Longinus while Zoro kept Wado Ichimonji.
• Longinus and Apophis resumed their unfinished fight near Shanks’s village, and Shanks joined them in a three-day battle that ended without a result.
• Longinus departed with Kuina and learned from an Elder that Donquixote Mjosgard had gone missing in the Silona Sea, so he agreed to search for him.
• Hody Jones planned to use an attack on a Celestial Dragon to discredit or kill Otohime and steal the Rage Drug, but a gigantic Sea King appeared outside Fish-Man Island’s bubble shield with someone in its mouth.

Apophis pursued Pure Gold while maneuvering Fish-Man Island, Kaido, Hancock, and Doflamingo into his plans, as Golden Lion returned to the New World and drew the Marines into conflict. The stretch ended with Apophis and Golden Lion fighting while Akainu and Kaido faced off nearby.

• Apophis arrived at Fish-Man Island, killed Hody Jones’s subordinates Dos and Zeo, and pursued Shirahoshi’s summoned Sea Kings into the deep sea.
• Hody Jones’s rebellion collapsed after Longinus arrived, and Longinus secured permission to establish a Marine branch on Fish-Man Island while Otohime traveled to Mary Geoise to seek support for peace.
• Enel joined Golden Lion Shiki, who planned to draw a giant Lantern Fish with his Golden Ship and pursue the Pure Gold hidden inside it.
• Longinus and Issho investigated signs of Golden Lion’s return, while Apophis traveled to Wano and defeated Jack and Queen before offering Kaido a Road Poneglyph rubbing in exchange for help against Akainu.
• Apophis met Hancock and Doflamingo, announced his plan to become the Fourth Emperor, and enlisted them to help seize Pure Gold while keeping their Shichibukai positions.
• Golden Lion returned to the New World, defeated Carlos, and invited pirates to join him as he searched for Pure Gold.
• Apophis confronted Golden Lion on the Vermeil Islands, where Akainu and Kaido also arrived and began fighting each other.
• Golden Lion removed the ship’s wheel and his leg swords, then fought Apophis at full strength, wounding him before Apophis revealed he had been holding back.

After Golden Lion’s death, Apophis used Pure Gold and the coming Pirate Expo to expand his influence, drawing pirates and Marines into a gathering on Sicily Island. The Expo erupted into a confrontation when Katarina’s impersonation scheme was exposed, and Apophis and Whitebeard began fighting over her fate.

• Longinus killed Golden Lion in the Lantern Fish, while Apophis rescued the survivors and secured Pure Gold, and the Marines later confirmed the reports.
• Apophis arranged for Doflamingo to lead a neutral trade zone and brought Tesoro into his plans, while Robin and the Whitebeard Pirates also sought his help over Pure Gold.
• Sengoku put Longinus in charge of a secret Marine mission to monitor Apophis’s Pirate Expo, and factions including the Whitebeard and Red Hair crews headed to the gathering.
• Longinus and his team reached Sicily Island, where the Marines split up to watch the Expo as Garp drew attention with a staged commotion.
• At the auction, Gratoni accused Longinus of murdering a pirate, but Apophis exposed the accuser as Katarina, who had impersonated Gratoni after killing him.
• Katarina offered to return the missing crew members of Whitebeard and Red-Haired in exchange for her life, but Apophis refused Whitebeard’s demand to release her.
• Whitebeard and Apophis fought, and after Whitebeard blocked Apophis’s attack on Katarina, Apophis struck from behind and swallowed Whitebeard through a Space Gate.
