"Producer Jerry Weintraub is very fond of Las Vegas. For years, he had been considering adapting and remaking the 1960 film of the same name, and he invited Ted Griffin to adapt the screenplay."

"Then he brought the script to Steven Soderbergh, which caught his interest. George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh had also recently founded Section Eight Productions together."

"So Steven Soderbergh planned to make Ocean's Eleven the debut production of Section Eight Productions!"

Ethelind Beckett knew that her boss was interested in projects about Las Vegas, and Ocean's Eleven happened to fit the bill.

Aaron nodded. "The rights to Ocean's Eleven belong to Warner Bros. With Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney joining, Warner Bros. will definitely support it."

"Does Steven Soderbergh still need our support? Is the film's budget very high?"

Ethelind Beckett smiled. "Steven Soderbergh believes that the 'eleven' in Ocean's Eleven are a team, and their friendship cannot be faked. Therefore, they need to find suitable actors and roles that fit each of them."

"He plans to assemble an all-star cast, so the actors' salaries will become a problem. Still, he'll persuade every actor to accept a reduced salary when the time comes."
