Joy Turns to Sorrow for Igneel
The silvery light gradually faded, and the whistling wind reached everyone's ears. Once their vision returned, Igneel and the others hurriedly opened their eyes to confirm their location. The surrounding jungle had vanished, and what came into view were five caves carved into the mountainside, and distant, layered mountain peaks.
Looking at the Dil'dixiu Mountain Range he had just left, Igneel exclaimed excitedly, "Brother Sordil, your formation is truly amazing!"
Wiping the sweat from his brow, Sordil said, his face pale, "Brother Igneel, you flatter me! Actually, this Teleportation Array isn't as perfect as you imagine; it still has many flaws that need improvement."
"Igneel is not flattering you, Brother Sordil. Your Teleportation Array array is indeed impressive, and some flaws are understandable."
"Yes! Brother Sordil, I also think your formation is pretty impressive!"
Seeing the crowd preparing to hold the Sordil commendation ceremony, Sordil quickly said, "Brothers, we can talk about the Teleportation Array array later. Now let's help Brother Yesveta home settled, okay?"
"Good!"
"No problem!"
"Brother Sordil, just go for it!"
After everyone had expressed their opinions, Sordil said to Yesveta, "Brother Yesveta, come with me around and see where we can settle down."
Upon hearing that Sordil would help him choose the location of his new home, Yesveta nodded and said, "Okay, brother Sordil!"
After saying this, the two spread their wings and flew into the sky to begin searching for a suitable place to settle down.
After the two circled the Dil'dixiu Mountain Range, Yesveta pointed in a direction and said, "Brother Sordil, just settle my family there!"
Sordil looked in the direction Yesveta pointing, then nodded and said, "No problem!"
After determining the location for their settlement, the two flew directly in that direction. Sordil, having mentally calculated the exact spot to place the sculpture in the Sand Mountain Range, led Yesveta was holding on the ground and then shouted:
"Compression Release"
As Sordil released the compression effect of the Quality Magic, the Sand Mountain Range quickly returned to their original appearance. After about five or six minutes, another mountain range, no less majestic than the Dil'dixiu Mountain Range, appeared before the two of them.
"Brother Yesveta, you should go home and check if anything has happened. If everything is alright, we should go back and meet up with Brother Igneel and the others."
"Alright! Brother Sordil, wait for me a moment, I'll be right back!"
After saying this, Yesveta flew towards a cave on the mountaintop. A few minutes later, having checked his belongings, Yesveta returned to Sordil with a beaming smile and said, "Brother Sordil, I've checked everything, there's nothing wrong, let's go back!"
"OK!"
Gazing at the distant, lightning-sparkling mountain peaks, Igneel said anxiously, "Yesveta's place has been safe and sound for so long, why haven't those two returned yet?"
Looking at the raging fire on the pan, Metalicana teased, "Brother Sordil, you're only going to be gone for a few minutes. Why are you in such a hurry? Look! Even Sister Yelibell isn't as impatient and eager as you are."
"What do you know! Sister Yelibell can hear the thoughts of creatures dozens of kilometers away. To her, it makes no difference whether Brother Sordil is in the Sand Mountain Range or here, so of course she's not in a hurry. But the wine worms in my stomach don't have that ability. They've been craving Brother Sordil's treasured wine for a long time, and now they're swirling around in my stomach. How can I not be anxious?"
Upon hearing Igneel's words, everyone present burst into laughter. Even Grandiere, who had been frozen for over a month, thawed and smiled because of his words.
"What happened? Why is everyone laughing so happily?"
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Igneel quickly turned around and saw Sordil and his companion descending from the sky.
"Brother Sordil, you're finally back! I've been waiting impatiently!"
"Brother Igneel, you haven't answered my question yet. What are you laughing at?"
"We're laughing at Igneel!"
"Brother Metalicana, why are you laughing at Brother Igneel?"
Just as Metalicana was about to explain to Sordil, Igneel stole the spotlight with a tackle.
"Brother Sordil, now that we've settled into our Yesveta, shouldn't we head over to your place?"
Hearing Igneel's words, Sordil instantly guessed what everyone had been laughing about. He waved his hand in front of him and then took out several barrels of fine wine from a spatial rift, handing them to Igneel. After Igneel accepted the wine, Sordil said, "Brother Igneel, have some of this wine to satisfy your craving first. After I finish helping Sister Yelibell move, we'll go to my house for a proper drink, how about it?"
Igneel, who was initially in a good mood because of the fine wine, suddenly felt his mood plummet when he learned that Sordil would only take him and the others home to celebrate after helping Yelibell move.
"Brother Sordil, you'd better hurry up, or I'm afraid I'll be dying of thirst from the craving for alcohol before you even get back!"
"Don't worry, Brother Igneel, you definitely won't finish your wine before I get back!"
Igneel was about to refute Sordil's point of view when he looked up and saw Sordil, holding Yelibell's hand, disappear into the silvery light.
"Haha! I was wondering why this brat was so sure I wouldn't finish all this wine before he got back. Turns out he was using the Teleportation Array to help Yelibell move! No way! I can't let this brat look down on me. Looks like I'll have to step up my game!"
Not intending to steam buns, but rather determined to prove himself, Igneel immediately opened the barrel and began to drink heartily. Just then, the black and white duo approached. Vyseria glanced at the barrel in Igneel's arms and then laughed, "Brother Igneel, aren't you lonely drinking alone? Why don't we brothers help you share some of the load, and we can all have some fun together?"
"Hmph! When I was being laughed at just now, why didn't you help me out? Now you want to help me out? No way!"
Just as the black-and-white duo was about to leave, Igneel suddenly called them back.
"Wait! You can help me share the burden, but I have one condition."
"What are the conditions?"
"That means you have to finish these barrels of wine for me before Brother Sordil gets back, or we're not talking!"
"Make a deal!"
A quarter of an hour later, a silvery-white light once again shone on the main platform of the Dil'dixiu Mountain Range. After the light faded, the figures of Sordil and his companion, having completed their move, appeared in the center of the platform. Greeting them were several neatly arranged empty barrels and the incessantly hiccuping Igneel.
"Brother Sordil, you've lost! I finished the wine before you even got back, look...?"
"I think you should take a rest!"
"No... brother, please stop..."
"Brother Igneel, you've already bought all the wine I brought, so you'll have to wait until I finish helping Sister Yelibell move and come home with me before you can drink any more!"
Upon hearing Judge Sordil's verdict, Igneel felt as if a stone had slipped from his hand and then struck his foot.
