Fish That Slipped Through the Net (Part 1)
"Brother Sordil, hurry up and choose your opponent. Once you've chosen, we can start the match!"
Seeing the excited Igneel, Sordil shook his head, then pointed to one of the red dragons and said, "Brother Igneel, I choose him!"
When Sordil left the water dragon to him, Igneel's forehead creased with annoyance. However, considering that he had proposed the bet first, and that winning or losing wouldn't harm him, and most importantly, that he was confident in his own strength, Igneel readily agreed.
"Alright! I'll take care of the other one then!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Igneel charged straight at the other blue dragon, not giving Sordil a chance to call "start." Speechless, Sordil glanced at the shameless Igneel and turned to Metalicana, saying, "Brother Metalicana, the rest are yours. Remember to leave one alive!"
"Brother Sordil, don't worry, we know what to do."
After settling the issue of the 'tongue', Sordil rushed towards the red dragon opposite him, who also met him head-on.
"The Fire Dragon's Roar"
Just as the two were about to collide, Sordil launched a ranged attack at the other side, then rapidly flew into the sky. Seeing Sordil's 'cowardly' behavior, the red dragon roared disdainfully, "Hmph! Brat, didn't you make a bet with someone to defeat me? What are you running away for?"
Faced with the enemy's taunts, Sordil remained silent, instead increasing his flight speed and charging towards higher ground. Seeing that Sordil didn't respond but continued to climb, the red dragon roared angrily and gave chase.
After Sordil and his men left the ground and began fighting in the air, Metalicana said to the men around him, "Alright, they've taken all the good fighters. We'll just have to make do with these old, weak, and crippled soldiers!"
"Brother Metalicana, there are only five people left here, and there aren't enough for us nine to share!"
"Diphiya is right, this is indeed a big problem!"
"Then what do you suggest we do?"
Faced with Metalicana's question, Yesveta and Diphiya exchanged a glance, then shook their heads in unison, indicating that they had no solution. Just then, Yelibell spoke up, "How about this? We each draw a card from the Dragon King, then compare the card values. The four with the lowest cards lose their chance to fight, but they'll be responsible for guarding the surrounding area to prevent the enemy from escaping. What do you all think of this method?"
Upon hearing Yelibell's words, Metalicana excitedly slapped her thigh and exclaimed, "That's a great idea! I have no objections!"
"I have no objection either!"
"Can!"
After Yelibell's plan was unanimously approved, Metalicana hurriedly said, "Since everyone agrees with this plan, Yelibell, please quickly take out the Dragon King's cards so that everyone can draw cards."
Yelibell nodded to Metalicana, then took out the Dragon King cards from her backpack and handed them to the others for them to draw. After everyone had drawn, Metalicana said, "Now that everyone has drawn, please reveal your cards!"
As soon as Metalicana finished speaking, everyone revealed the cards in their hands. In the Murellia, Murriella, Skiadrum, Grandiere, and Metalicana were eliminated and moved to the vigilance team.
"My card was clearly a three, how could I lose to Diphiya's two?"
Seeing Metalicana fixated on losing to two with three, Grandiere explained with a smile, "In the Dragon King Fight, three is the lowest card, while two is the highest card besides the Dragon King, so Diphiya won against you."
"Alright, if that's the case, then I admit defeat!"
After Metalicana conceded defeat, the winning five-man team rushed towards the remaining five enemies, and a chaotic battle broke out instantly.
"Ghost Cry Spear"
A Black Spear pierced the sky at incredible speed, hurtling towards the blue -Black Great Dragon. Having already gained some understanding of Kaldiz's power after several exchanges, the blue -Black Great Dragon knew that this attack was not something it could withstand head-on, so it hurriedly dodged to the side.
"Death Rhapsody"
"Buzz"
The blue- Black Great Dragon had just dodged the Black Spear when it stepped into the Magic Array carefully designed by Kaldiz. Instantly, black smoke filled the Black Great Dragon's mouth and nostrils, followed by a feeling of weakness spreading throughout its body. As a seasoned warrior, Kaldiz would not miss this golden opportunity. He charged at his opponent at top speed and bit down on its right arm.
"Roar"
Stimulated by the intense pain, the blue -Black Great Dragon regained a sliver of strength. He raised his left arm and repeatedly pounded on Kaldiz's back, hoping to force Kaldiz to release his right hand. Kaldiz stretched out his right hand to block the blue- Black Great Dragon's attack, then used even greater force to tear at the Black Great Dragon's right hand.
"Click"
"Awooo"
With the sound of bones shattering, countless drops of crimson liquid rained down, and the two who had been fighting were separated. Kaldiz threw the severed arm from his mouth to the ground, then warily watched the blue- Black Great Dragon opposite him, who was clutching its severed arm and groaning in pain while scanning its surroundings.
A moment later, the blue -Black Great Dragon used its remaining left hand to create a massive blue-black water sphere, which it then hurled at Kaldiz. As the sphere approached Kaldiz, the blue- Black Great Dragon clenched its left hand tightly and roared, "Water Element Burst!"
"Bang!"
The blue-black water sphere suddenly burst open, producing countless water droplets that obscured Kaldiz's vision.
"Damn it, this guy's trying to escape!"
While dodging the water spheres, Kaldiz, upon seeing the sky filled with mist, instantly guessed the other party's true intentions. He hurriedly increased his flight altitude, and once he broke through the mist, he immediately searched for the other party's figure in all directions.
"Hmph! Trying to run? No way!"
Upon spotting the opponent, Kaldiz charged straight at him like a javelin.
"Damn it, he actually found out!"
Upon realizing that Kaldiz was pursuing them, the blue -Black Great Dragon mustered all its strength to flee, hoping to escape this calamity. However, while it fled quickly, Kaldiz was not far behind, and the two engaged in a chase through the sky.
Unlike the overwhelming victory in the First War Zone, Sordil's Second War Zone and Igneel's Third War Zone were both embroiled in fierce fighting.
"The Blazing Fire Dragon's Flame"
After successfully dodging an attack from his opponent, Sordil unleashed a massive fireball aimed directly at the dragon's face. The red dragon easily evaded Sordil's attack and then lashed out with its tail whip.
"Damn it! Can't we just catch our breath?"
Faced with the opponent's relentless attacks, Sordil had no choice but to dodge once more. Just then, he received a cold, arrogant taunt from his opponent.
"Kid, eating and sleeping won't increase your fighting power, it'll only increase your weight. Remember that for your next life!"
Hearing the other person's words, Sordil instantly flew into a rage. So what if I'm a fat otaku? Did I eat your rice? Besides, is rebirth something I can control? And what if next time that big shot doesn't give me a chance to be reborn, but instead just euthanizes me? Then how am I supposed to remember them? Touched on a sore spot, Sordil dropped his nonchalant facade and said seriously:
"Originally, I just wanted to familiarize myself with the power of the fire dragon through you. Since you put it that way, then I'll fight with all my might!"
