Cutting Off Supplies
"Everyone hurry up, or we won't make it to that island before tonight. Don't blame me if you have to sleep with your stuff on you all night."
Looking at the 'atomic nucleus' walking at the front of the group, Deshed complained, "Boss, don't talk like that without understanding the situation. How can we go fast carrying so much stuff?"
"Yeah, boss, how could we possibly be fast?"
"Boss, this thing is too heavy. I'm lucky if I can carry it!"
Seeing his lazy subordinates slacking off again, Montedoss roared angrily, "I carried 90% of the supplies and didn't complain, but you guys are already too tired to walk after carrying only 10% together?"
Glancing at the various 'atoms' surrounding the 'nucleus', Deshed retorted, "Boss, is that what you call carrying? You're clearly using magic to move it!"
Having her truth exposed, Montedoss said without batting an eye, "Did you really think that using magic to move these things wouldn't be tiring?"
"You don't seem tired at all; you seem quite relaxed!"
"What were you muttering just now, Deshed?"
"Huh?... Ah! I mean, we should learn from you, not be afraid of hardship or fatigue, and persevere!"
"Then what are you waiting for? Get out of here!"
"Yes!"
So, the group once again 'happily' embarked on their journey to transport supplies.
"Holy crap! Brother Sordil, this guy in charge is even more arrogant than you, using magic to move so much stuff!"
Sordil looked at Igneel, who was bubbling away beside him, with a black line on his face, and then he said in a low voice, "Brother Igneel, haven't you been drinking a bit too much this month? I think you should cut back a bit!"
"Brother Sordil, I was wrong! I shouldn't have spoken recklessly. Please forgive me this time!"
Whether I forgive you or not depends on your behavior later!
"Alright, that's fine, ma'am!"
As soon as Igneel finished speaking, Sordil pulled him back down to the seabed to rejoin the rest of the Bandit squad.
As time passed, the two groups drew closer. Just as the grain transport team was about to step into the ambush, Montedoss suddenly ordered everyone to stop.
"Boss, didn't you say we were going to get to that island before dark? Why have you stopped now?"
Montedoss glanced at the lake and then said in a deep voice, "I don't know why, but the sea in front of me gives me an extremely dangerous feeling, as if something bad would happen if I went in."
"Hey boss, this is just an ordinary sea area, what danger could there be? Besides, what in this world can threaten our lives?"
"Yes! You're right! But we still need to tell the brothers to be careful, after all, we can't afford to make any mistakes now!"
"Don't worry, I'll let the brothers know!"
With Deshed's reassurance, Montedoss felt much more at ease, so he led the grain transport team forward. However, as he continued forward, his unease grew stronger. Just as he was about to order his men to bypass the area and proceed in another direction, a dozen or so breaths of different colors surrounded them.
"Boom!"
The violent explosion generated a powerful shockwave, whipping up the seawater below and creating Bobo waves that crashed outwards. The supply convoy at the epicenter of the explosion was instantly engulfed in the Energy Storm, and the large wooden barrels and packages that had been on them scattered across the sea surface and gradually sank.
Before the smoke cleared, seven or eight counterattack breaths radiated outwards from the center of the smoke, but they were all dodged by Sordil and the others.
"Everyone, time is of the essence, let's get started quickly! Sister Grandiere, let's cast Augmented Magic together to help everyone increase their combat power and speed up the battle."
"Good!"
"Gale Force (the two shout together, but to save time and avoid unnecessary embellishment, it's only one line. Please forgive us!)"
"The Steel Arm Strength"
"Armor Strength"
"All-around physical enhancement - God's Knight!"
Feeling reborn, Igneel longed to roar and release his exhilaration, but to avoid being banned from drinking for the month, he suppressed the urge and focused his energy on the battle. Meanwhile, the Sordil couple, having completed their magical transformation, immediately joined the fray. In an instant, over twenty dragons clashed fiercely in the sea.
"Roar! Who are you people? Why are you trying to kill us?"
Montedoss forced open his only remaining eye and roared at Sordil and the others, but the response he received was an even fiercer attack.
"Hmph! You talk the most, take Collapse Fist!"
Seeing the giant red fist hurtling towards his cheek, Montedoss hurriedly dodged backward. Just then, a massive black iron sword slashed down towards his lower back, leaving him unable to advance or retreat. In the critical moment, he used his left hand to protect his cheek, clenched his right fist, and dodged to the side and forward.
"Sizzle!"
"Bang!"
The tip of the Iron Dragon Sword grazed Montedoss ' right ribs, while Igneel's powerful Collapse Fist struck his left arm, forcing Montedoss back four or five steps before stopping. Just as Igneel was about to close in further, Montedoss unleashed a powerful right punch, forcing him back.
"You dared to launch a sneak attack, but to do that was to gang up on us? Don't you have a shred of dignity as dragons?"
Upon hearing his words, Igneel immediately challenged him to a duel, but Sordil stopped him with a look.
"I regret to inform you that this is not a duel in the ring, but a life-or-death battle, so there is no need for a one-on-one match with you!"
"Pah! A coward is a coward, no need to be so hypocritical!"
Despite Montedoss's disdainful gaze, Sordil felt an urge to grant the other's request, but as commander, he couldn't be so impulsive. Just as Sordil was about to launch another attack, Igneel stopped him.
"Brother Sordil, I'll take care of this guy. You go and help the others!"
Sordil glanced at Igneel and said, "Alright! But you only have ten minutes, brother Igneel. I'll be back here in ten minutes."
"Don't worry, brother Sordil! Ten minutes is more than enough for me to take care of him!"
With Igneel's assurance, Sordil charged straight at the Black Great Dragon that was locked in combat with Yelibell.
"Now it's just the two of us, can we have a proper fight?"
Come on!
As soon as they finished speaking, the two rushed at each other, then started throwing punches and kicks, wrestling and fighting.
"Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Karma Demon: Iron Spiral"
"Pfft!"
"Ah!"
Deshed clutched his pierced abdomen, glaring at Sordil with resentment and anger, then stammered, "Ha... you... you're... despicable... shameless... I... ha... I..."
"Iron Dragon Spear - Ghost Firewood"
"Puff!"
"Puff!"
Under Sordil's relentless attacks, Deshed lost his life before he could even finish his last complete sentence, and then sank into the sea.
"Sister Yelibell, don't just stand there like an idiot! Go help others, or we'll be the ones surrounded and killed!"
Hearing Sordil's words, Yelibell snapped out of Sordil 'despicable' fighting style and went to help others. Sordil himself, meanwhile, took his Iron Dragon Sword and went to support his wife Grandiere.
"Dragon Slayer Secret Art Technique: Karma Demon: Iron God Sword"
Under the combined attack of surprise and pincer movement, Sordil's assault succeeded once again, cleaving Grandiere's opponent in two with his Iron God Sword. Having witnessed Yelibell's example, this time Grandiere went to find a new opponent without Sordil even needing to speak. Scanning the surrounding battle, Sordil muttered to himself:
"Phew! I wonder if I'm strong enough to use that move right now. Oh well, I'd better finish off the remaining enemies first, and test that move another day!"
Forcibly suppressing his inner anticipation for a certain mysterious technique, Sordil continued his great work of slaying people... oops! Slaying dragons!
