Great Decisive Battle! (I)
Peterburg City, the Northeast Battlefield
"Listen up, everyone! Form groups of three, spread out and search, and rescue as many trapped friendly forces as possible."
"Yes!"
"Sister Yelibell, I'm so sorry! I'm really worried about Irene, so I'm entrusting the search and rescue mission to you!"
After his subordinates left, Old Suo used Mind Talk to convey his true thoughts to Yelibell, who was somewhere on the battlefield, and then he flew straight towards the Lord Mayor's mansion in the center of the city.
"Tch! If you had said that earlier, wouldn't I have sent you to rescue Irene long ago?"
Upon hearing Yelibell's enlightened (disdainful) reply, Sordil, who was in flight, almost lost his balance and fell.
"Sister Yelibell, you..."
"Brother Sordil, have you forgotten that I've already learned to use Mind Talk?"
Faced with Yelibell's barrage of retorts, Sordil's forehead creased with embarrassment. Fortunately, there was no one else around at the moment, allowing him to calmly conceal his awkwardness and (pretending to) remain composed as Old Suo replied, "Well... there were outsiders around just now, so I was a little embarrassed to make this request. That's why I took advantage of the search and rescue opportunity to go to the Lord Mayor's mansion. I was also worried that those lads wouldn't handle the task well, so I used Mind Talk to inform you, sister. Now that I've received your reply, I'm relieved!"
"Oh... Is that so! You were overthinking it, sister. I thought you'd forgotten that I could Mind Talk and were planning to use this method to leave without saying goodbye!"
Sordil, whose little scheme had been exposed, was incredibly embarrassed. Luckily, the two were communicating Mind Talk; otherwise, a trench twenty meters wide and deep would likely have been dug into the ground of Peterburg City. (The ground: Thank goodness I'm alive, I didn't get dug up by some shameless bastard!)
"Um... Sister Yelibell, I have to get going, so I'll have to go now! If anything happens, just let me know with your Mind Talk!"
"OK!"
"Boom!"
After successfully dodging his opponent's attack, Heradi delivered a powerful punch to his opponent's chest, sending him flying into the air in an Shockwave. Just then, Heradi suddenly noticed a giant dragon swooping down from the sky, aiming to attack Irene's vulnerable back.
"Sister-in-law, watch out behind you!"
After issuing the warning, Heradi disregarded his own safety and rushed towards Irene at top speed.
"Whoosh!"
Just as Heradi was halfway there, a piercing sound came from above, followed by a Flame Breath that crashed down right in front of him.
"Boom!"
A powerful gust of wind lifted Heradi high into the air, then tossed him dozens of meters away. Watching Irene recede into the distance, Heradi stretched out his right hand, grasping hard, and roared, "No!"
In fact, even before Heradi warned her, Irene had already sensed the danger behind her. However, her opponent gave her no chance to dodge, and given her strength, she couldn't defeat him quickly enough. Therefore, she could only let his attacks gradually approach her.
"Whoosh"
The swift and powerful claw strikes generated a fierce, bone-chilling gust of cold wind, causing Irene's Crimson hair to fly wildly in all directions.
Just as the opponent's claws were about to strike her, Irene closed her eyes, quietly awaiting her death. However, she neither experienced excruciating pain nor witnessed the final glance as her body was severed from her body. Instead, she heard the thud of a heavy object hitting the ground and heard thunderous curses.
"Thump!"
"Heradi, you bastard, who told you to bring Irene here!"
Upon hearing that familiar voice, Irene looked excitedly in the direction from which the sound came, and then her eyes were completely filled with the sight of the seven-colored dragon hovering in the air.
"Boss, you're back just in time!"
Seeing that Irene was out of danger, a disheveled and grimy Heradi shouted as he scrambled toward where the two were.
"Bang!"
"Whoosh!"
Just as Heradi ran over, he was struck in the abdomen by Sordil, who had transformed into human form. Haradi then flew back through the air at an even faster speed with a fluid motion. At the same time, he stammered at Sordil, "Boss... I'm... sorry!"
"You bastard, that's Heradi, how could you..."
"Hmph! If he weren't Heradi, I wouldn't have kicked him!"
Hearing the other party's domineering words, Her Majesty the Queen turned to face Old Suo and asked on tiptoe, "So, are you going to kick me too?"
"Gulp!"
Facing his wife, the shameless Sordil immediately sneered, "Heh! Why would I kick you for no reason? Besides, even if you asked me to, I wouldn't dare!" (Most importantly, he wouldn't dare, because if Old Suo did kick her, I don't know if Irene would beat him up, but I believe all of Irene's male admirers would make him lose his chance to be a man.)
"Hmph! Heradi didn't do anything wrong, so why did you kick him?"
Upon hearing the name Heradi, Sordil's previously amiable face instantly turned sour, and he angrily cursed, "That brat! I clearly told him to protect you, but instead, he not only brought you to the battlefield but also put you in danger. For that alone, kicking him or giving him a good beating wouldn't be enough to vent my anger!"
Seeing Sordil's fierce expression, Irene smiled gently. Then, Her Majesty the Queen reached out and gently pinched Sordil's tense cheek, saying softly, "Alright! I forced him to bring me to the battlefield, so don't blame him!"
"I don't!"
Seeing Sordil pouting and gazing arrogantly at the distant sky, Her Majesty the Queen commanded sternly, "General Oddek, I hereby order you to forgive Heradi. Execute immediately! No objections are permitted!"
Upon receiving the Queen's order, Prince Sordil's domineering and arrogant demeanor vanished instantly, and he weakly replied, "Yes, Your Her Majesty the Queen!"
Just as the two had resolved their internal Contradiction and were preparing to begin their happy life together, a certain... no! a certain two clueless, stupid dragons came out to hang their pants out to dry.
"Hey! Can you two show some respect for us? The fight isn't over yet, what are you doing showing off your love!"
Sordil gently stroked Irene's delicate cheek, then said tenderly, "Your Her Majesty the Queen, you go find that idiot Heradi first. I'll deal with those two noisy fellows and then join you!"
"Okay! Then hurry up!"
After giving Sordil a few instructions, Irene walked briskly toward a Y-shaped object stuck in the ground not far away.
Seeing that they (the dragons) were once again being looked down upon, Irene's former opponent roared angrily, "Humans, you..."
"Bang!"
Before he could finish speaking, a seven-colored arrow of light rose from below, pressing against his chin and sending him soaring into the sky.
"Roar!"
Upon seeing its teammate disappear into the sky, another dragon unleashed an angry breath.
"Buzz!"
A flash of milky white light appeared, and then the dragon was surprised to find that the seven-colored dragon had disappeared, and another milky white dragon had appeared where the other had just been.
"Hmph! No matter who you are, you're dead!"
After letting out a cold snort, the dragon unleashed a headbutt, sending its entire body hurtling towards the target like a javelin.
Faced with the enemy's double attack, Old Suo calmly opened his mouth and swallowed the opponent's breath (um... here, this Germaphobe really wants to ask Natsu, how did he manage to swallow someone else's flames without any psychological barrier?), and then returned the attack, which had been processed a second time, to the opponent.
Upon seeing the attack rebound, the charging dragon immediately pulled up sharply, soaring into the sky at an angle of nearly ninety degrees.
Just as he dodged the attack and had not yet regained his footing, a series of gray-black giant swords suddenly flew down from below, engulfing him and another giant dragon that was swooping down from the sky.
"Black Mist? It's Black Mist! Borgan, retreat now!"
Hearing his teammates' shouts, the dragon, which was ascending, once again forcibly changed its flight direction, trying to avoid the dense rain of swords.
Unfortunately, every decision they made was exactly what Sordil had anticipated. As a result, after a period of futile effort, the two were successfully pinned to the ground by the gray-black greatsword and slammed into the ground.
After defeating his opponent, Prince Sordil excitedly ran to Irene to boast of his achievements, only to find that the two heartless fellows had fallen asleep leaning against each other.
"Hey! It's daylight, get up!"
Disturbed by thunderous noise, Irene and her companion slowly opened their sleepy eyes.
"Ah (yawn)! Finally finished? Let's go back to sleep!" (Irene)
Hearing this nonsensical answer, Sordil suddenly realized that entrusting Irene to Heradi's protection was the biggest mistake of his life. (Sob... Queen Irene has been infected by Heradi's idiocy and has become the Number Two idiot with a completely off IQ.)
"Irene, do you remember where we are right now?"
"Of course I remember, we are now in Peterburg City, fighting against the Evil Dragon of the Western Continent..."
At this point, Her Majesty the Queen suddenly looked up and asked anxiously, "Sordil, how come we're still here? Let's go! We have to hurry and rescue Belserion and the others."
After being bombarded with a flurry of punches from his wife, Sordil was completely bewildered, and so he just let Irene drag him forward.
Looking at Sordil, who stood like a stone statue, Heradi desperately wanted to rescue his boss, but his still-aching backside told him that this state was actually quite comfortable. Therefore, he abandoned the idea of intervening and quietly followed behind the two, waiting for his boss or sister-in-law to summon him.
