Becoming King (Part 2)
Seeing that his crime had been exposed, Red, clinging to a sliver of hope, said, "Master, I was just praising you, I wasn't criticizing you!"
"No! You just felt a little nervous, and you were thinking to yourself, 'Why did I remember that again?' So you must have been criticizing me just now!" (Sordil)
Looking at Sordil's cold gaze, Red had no choice but to give up resisting and confess (which would mean a lifetime in jail).
"Master, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have criticized you!"
Seeing Red bowing his head in apology, Sordil, whose face had been stern, suddenly put on a smug smile and happily jumped around Red.
"La la la, I guessed right, la la la!"
"La la la!"
Looking at Sordil, who was as happy as a child, Red's head was covered in black lines and drenched in sweat. (Haha! Weren't you charmed by Old Suo's unexpected cuteness?)
Just as Old Suo was having a great time, Queen Irene brought Tingmei to the windboat.
"Hmm? Madam, is the master usually like this?"
Seeing Sordil frantically surrounding Red, a startled Tingmei asked incredulously.
Sensing the yearning look in Tingmei's eyes, Irene stammered, "Um... well, he's usually fine... yes! Fine!"
Seeing the awkward smile on Irene's face, Tingmei felt that the truth might not be so simple. However, before she could speak further, Irene, her face flushed, had already walked towards Sordil.
"Mr. Sordil, have you had enough fun?"
Hearing the gentle voice behind him, a chill seeped into Sordil's body and soul, causing him to tremble unnaturally.
After the chill passed, Old Suo mechanically turned his head, then said tremblingly, "Eileen... Irene, you... how did you get here?"
"Me? I came here to offer my condolences to the meritorious King Sordil, but instead I encountered a gigantic, self-important child." (Irene)
"Irene, let me explain! The reason I've become like this is all because of Red's seduction!" (Sordil)
Hearing the huge accusation fall from the sky, Red was brought to tears. But as a professional wingman, even if the main engine was a disaster, he had to step up! So, with a smile that looked more like a grimace, he said, "Madam, Master is right. Things turned out this way because of me!"
After the scapegoat emerged, Old Suo used another trick to divert everyone's attention elsewhere.
"By the way! Irene, weren't you guys cleaning up the harem? How did you end up getting into a fight with the Magic Council?"
Upon hearing Old Suo mention the Magic Council members, Queen Irene, who had been so confident, instantly deflated and transformed into a little girl who had done something wrong and was waiting for an adult to criticize her.
"When we were cleaning up the harem earlier, I was careless and one of the Princess escaped. She then sent a distress call to the Magic Council, and that's when we were surrounded by those people!"
After Irene finished speaking, Sordil pointed with trembling fingers in the direction of Her Majesty the Queen.
"You... you... you... what can I say to you? You're such a grown man, and you can't even handle something this simple! Tingmei, you've disappointed me so much!" (Sordil)
Tingmei, who had been standing idly by, suddenly heard her name called and stared wide-eyed in disbelief, pointing at herself.
"Me? Master, back then I..."
Before Tingmei could finish speaking, Sordil interrupted her forcefully.
"What do you mean 'you'? This matter was originally entrusted to you. Irene only went to help out of kindness. Of course, you're to blame for this mess!"
Upon hearing Sordil's words, Tingmei wanted to retort, but after receiving the secret telegram from Old Suo and Red, she obediently shut her mouth and 'humbly' accepted the criticism.
Looking at the pitiful Red and Tingmei, Irene said with pity, "You scoundrel, they're innocent, don't scold them!"
"No way! If it weren't for these two unreliable guys, we wouldn't have ended up arguing!" (Sordil)
"Alright! Alright! We each made one mistake, so we're even! I'm not angry with you anymore, and you don't need to yell at them either! (Irene)"
With Her Majesty the Queen and his wife personally pledging peace, Sordil naturally wouldn't press the matter further. So, he said with a grin to Red and the other man, "Alright! It's all over, everyone get up!"
Looking at the identical sly smiles on the faces of Sordil and the other two, Irene knew perfectly well that she had been deceived. But since she had already spoken, she could only acquiesce to their shameless behavior.
After resolving the internal Contradiction, Sordil suddenly remembered that one of their people (the dragon) seemed to be missing. So he hurriedly asked, "By the way, why are there only two of you? Where is Uncle Sage Dragon?"
"Oh! Belserion was watching the surrendered men, so he didn't come with the two of us. (Irene)"
"So that's how it is! (Old Suo)"
After joking around with Old Suo and the others for a few minutes, Red, who had awakened his prime ministerial duties, suggested at the opportune moment. "Master, we haven't dealt with the Magic Council problem yet, and your coronation ceremony hasn't been held. Shouldn't we finish dealing with these things before we play around?"
After Red's reminder, everyone realized that they had been too optimistic, so Sordil immediately began to devise remedial measures.
"Tingmei, go and relieve Uncle Sage Dragon immediately to watch over those prisoners. Also, tell Uncle Sage Dragon to come here and meet me."
"Yes, Master!"
"Red, assemble all the troops here immediately and await my command. Also, after you have done this, immediately arrange the matters of your coronation."
"Your subordinate obeys!"
After the two left, Old Suo turned to Her Majesty the Queen and said, "Irene Belserion, don't just sit around doing nothing. Go and reorganize those who surrendered. Also, prepare a spacious place to treat the wounded and receive new prisoners!"
Looking at the imperious King Sodir, Queen Irene smiled and shook her head, then said obediently, "Yes, King Sordil!"
Moments later, the changed guards, including Sage Dragon and the troops that Red had gathered, arrived. Old Suo then led them towards the Magic Council's branch in Philiers.
East of Philiers City, Magic Council
"Milligan, will Captain Wright and the others be alright?"
"Hehe! Princess Harris, don't worry, no one dares to provoke the Magic Council yet!" (Damn, so arrogant! But you're lucky today, because you're about to encounter a 'ignorant' madman.)
Just as this official finished making his promise, a Magic Council member who looked like a toad tumbled in.
"Milligan, something terrible has happened! We're surrounded by the army!"
Upon hearing his subordinate's report, Milligan shouted, "You bastard! What nonsense are you spouting!"
"My lord, I'm not lying to you, we really are surrounded by the army!"
Just as Milligan was about to wake the sleepy guy in front of him, a loud shout pierced through the walls and clearly reached every corner of the Magic Council.
"Listen up, those inside! Surrender immediately, or you will be killed without mercy!" (Sordil)
Upon hearing that childish voice, Milligan gave a cold laugh, then glanced disdainfully outside.
"Hmph! I never thought there would actually be such reckless fools in this world. Fine! I'll show you the power of the Magic Council!"
After saying this, Milligan prepared to go out and teach those fools outside a lesson, but before he could even step out the door, one of the impatient, immoral, and untrustworthy guys outside took the initiative and made his move first.
"Gravity Zone"
"The Poison Dragon's Roar"
"Dragon Slayer Secret Art Technique: Death Rhapsody - Soul Surge"
"Buzz!"
As the voices outside faded, the air trembled, and then a powerful force of gravity, surging poisonous fog, and a deathly gray mist rushed into the Magic Council, instantly rendering everyone Magic Council powerless to resist.
"Plop"
"Plop"
With each heavy thud as something hit the ground, the Magic Council members collapsed to the floor, utterly exhausted.
Judging that the time was about right, Old Suo said to the officers around him, "The guys inside are no longer capable of fighting. Take your men in and take them back!"
Although the officers had some doubts about Old Suo's orders, they agreed after being reminded by a kind colleague.
"Yes!"
Once they were far from Sordil, the officers who had reluctantly agreed inquired with their well-meaning colleagues about the reasons. Then, Old Suo's glorious deeds at the Silver Moon Bar and at the palace gates spread throughout the army. From then on, Old Suo earned a unique title within the army— Smiling Hecate.
After arranging for the porters to move the prisoners, Old Suo turned to Sage Dragon and said, "Uncle Sage Dragon, these guys are good at moving prisoners, but they can't be relied on for fighting, so I'll have to trouble you to make a trip to make sure that no one escapes and causes trouble."
"You little rascal, you've assigned all the work to us, so what are you doing?"
Upon hearing Sage Dragon's words, the cunning Suo immediately put on a tired look and said, "Uncle Sage Dragon, look how exhausted I am, please let me rest!"
Looking at the cowardly Sordil, Sage Dragon snorted coldly and said, "If you don't tell me the truth today, I'm not going anywhere!"
"So, if I tell the truth, will you do as I say?" (Old Suo)
"That's natural! (Sage Dragon)"
"Alright! Since that's the case, I'll tell you the truth! The reason I stayed outside was to prevent any escapees from your pursuit, breaking through the encirclement and escaping to the outside world. It was also to keep the news from getting out of the way and prevent the other branches of the Magic Council from finding out, since we don't have the ability to face their retaliation right now."
"If that's the case, then why..."
Old Suo waved his hand to interrupt Sage Dragon, then pointed to the sky and said, "Won't we have that capability soon?"
Seeing Old Suo's actions, Sage Dragon smiled knowingly and then walked straight toward the Magic Council.
