The Treant Race was a very special race.
What made them special?
First, they did not need to reproduce like humans. Instead, like plants in nature, they reproduced asexually through methods such as branching and sowing seeds. However, reproduction placed certain demands on the environment, so while their population was not small, it could not keep growing like humanity's. Once it reached a certain number, the Treant Race's population stopped increasing, preventing their racial power from ever truly developing.
Second, the Treant Race had extraordinarily long lifespans. It was said that they might even be one of the oldest living races in the entire Source. Most other ancient races had perished by the modern era, but the Treant Race had survived until now due to their method of reproduction and their survival requirements. Even after being wiped out once, new Treant life could naturally emerge from nature itself, making many races deeply envious.
Third, Treant lifeforms were generally quite powerful, at least far stronger than ordinary humans. They did not need to train; they only needed to live, and their strength would continue to grow. The longer they lived, the stronger they became. As a result, some ancient Treants that had lived for hundreds or thousands of years could rival Saints or even surpass them, making them truly terrifying. Moreover, they were a long-lived race and would basically never die of old age, which was yet another reason people envied them.
Yet despite this, the Treant Race's overall strength could not even rank among the top five in the entire Source. Whether they could make it into the top ten was uncertain.
Why?
It was simple. Their weaknesses were too obvious.
Treant lifeforms generally had two weaknesses that could not be ignored.
First: the longer they lived, the larger they
