Background

Xiao Wu left the Star Dou Great Forest shortly after transforming into human form. Her mother had been hunted by Martial Soul Hall, and Xiao Wu entered the human world intending to learn about Martial Soul Hall and eventually seek revenge. Feng Hao was the first human she encountered; frightened by his strength, she concealed her identity with a story about losing her parents before asking him to take her in 5.

Feng Hao took her to Nuoding City, sold Soul Beast bones to purchase a courtyard, and enrolled her at Nuoding Academy as a regular student rather than a work-study student. She lived with Feng Hao near the academy and began studying human cultivation methods 6.

Over the following years, Xiao Wu became deeply dependent on Feng Hao. Although she acted as the “big sister” among other students, she was emotionally vulnerable around him and feared being left behind 28. After arriving at Shrek Academy, she confessed both her feelings and her fear that Feng Hao would reject her Soul Beast identity. Feng Hao accepted her without prejudice and promised to protect her from Martial Soul Hall 39.

Her identity was later revealed to Zhu Zhuqing with Xiao Wu’s consent. Feng Hao explained that transformed Soul Beasts remain in a juvenile stage until level 60, when their Soul Beast aura can no longer expose them 74 126.

Xiao Wu first appeared as a five- or six-year-old girl in a pink dress, with chubby rosy cheeks. As she matured, she became a graceful young woman 5 39.

Xiao Wu is initially wary of humans because of her mother’s death and her knowledge of Martial Soul Hall’s role in hunting Soul Beasts. Despite this fear, Feng Hao’s kindness allows her to gradually trust him 5.

She is affectionate, emotionally dependent on Feng Hao, and openly distressed by his absences. She can also be jealous and possessive when she believes he is close to other women, though she later shows an unexpectedly open and mischievous attitude toward his relationships 28 39 98 232.

In battle, Xiao Wu is confident and dismissive toward opponents she considers inferior. She is protective of Feng Hao as well, even proposing that Tang San be killed before he could threaten him 65 185.

Feng Hao enrolls Xiao Wu in Nuoding Academy and provides her with a home near the school. She meets Tang San there but remains closer to Feng Hao than to the academy’s other students 6 12.

Shrek Academy
