Arc 5Kaedeji's Resurrection and War

Kaedeji escaped Orochimaru's control, rebuilt his body with Hashirama Cells, and used his power to defeat Sunagakure and bargain with Akatsuki. After Konoha struggled to contain the consequences of his resurrection policy, Kaedeji returned to Sunagakure with Sasori, who killed the Third Kazekage.

  • Madara killed Kaedeji, but Kaedeji's spirit escaped and Orochimaru revived him with Impure World Reincarnation before Kaedeji released himself from Orochimaru's control.
  • Kaedeji used Izanagi to survive Nagato's sealing attempt, kidnapped Konan, and ordered her to make explosive tags while he pursued a way to restore his reanimated body.

Arc 6Kaedeji’s War and Tsukuyomi

Kaedeji seized control of Konoha, used the Box of Paradise to gain Indra’s Sharingan, and launched a war against the great nations while building a Tsukuyomi world. The stretch ended with Kumogakure retreating after Kaedeji’s forces defeated them, while the Third Raikage remained trapped in the Tsukuyomi world.

  • Rasa arranged Sunagakure’s surrender directly to Kaedeji, who secured an end to Konoha’s suppression of him and then sacrificed the Land of Grass and hundreds of Sunagakure ninja to the Box of Paradise.
  • Kaedeji introduced resurrection slots in exchange for ten years of unconditional service, stirring conflict and corpse theft until he used the Box of Paradise to obtain Indra’s Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

  • Kaedeji helped Obito open the Dragon Vein, and Obito traveled to a parallel Konoha during the Nine-Tails’ attack, where he confronted and defeated his masked counterpart with Kaedeji’s help.
  • Kaedeji brought Obito back to his world, took the Yin Nine-Tails, and unleashed a zombie army that destroyed Konoha and killed or transformed its defenders.
