Three Enemies? The Worst-Case Scenario

This was an exceptionally spacious room.

Shelves filled with all kinds of goods stood around it: ores, precious metals, enchantment stones, gemstone powder, various animal organs, hides, and more.

All of these were materials used to make Magic Scrolls.

After entering the room, Ainz immediately noticed the piles of supplies.

Naturally, Nazarick possessed far more resources than these. Resources hundreds of times greater in quantity were primarily stored in the Treasury.

The materials kept here were merely the portion the head librarian would need soon.

Ainz's crimson eye sockets swept over the room, first landing on several particularly conspicuous materials.

They were displayed at the front of the shelves!

Several extremely fresh dragon hides were high-quality materials stripped from the Dragon Lord councilors of the Council State.

"Lord Ainz!"

An excited, high-pitched voice rang through the room.

It belonged to a skeleton that looked as though human and animal bones had been fused together, with two demon-like horns growing from its skull.

It wore an orange magical robe and all manner of ornate-looking magical equipment!

This was the head librarian of the enormous Library, an Undead NPC specialized in Production Classes—Titus Annaeus Secundus!

"It has been a while, Titus."

Ainz greeted him.

Come to think of it, this was also his first time coming here since arriving in the New World.

"I kneel before you, great ruler."

Titus performed the most formal salute, his voice carrying a trace of unease. "It was a grave failing that I was unable to personally welcome you."

"I told Librarian J not to notify anyone."

Ainz indicated that it was no issue. What he cared about now was the scroll, so he asked, "How has the research on that scroll progressed?"

The so-called "Librarian J" was the Elder Lich who had guided him earlier.
